In today’s episode, Emily is talking with the Founder of The Plunge Ryan Duey. As you know, Emily is a fan of cold plunging and has spoken highly of the benefits of it in many episodes. She is bringing Ryan on so you can hear from him all those benefits and also ways you can start doing your own cold plunging without actually having one, such as taking an ice bath or a cold shower. Ryan says he was inspired to get into cold plunging back in 2015, using a river in the winter time as his source. Now he is able to do it daily in his home with the Plunge. He explains that intention and mindset are key when plunging. It’s not just athletes that are doing this. There are so many more benefits than just post workout recovery. It really helps to create mental strength, aids in stress management and much more! He also gives some great advice on how to breathe through it, which is very important.
