So happy to share my conversation with Renee McGregor on the podcast today. She’s a best-selling author, a sports dietitian specialised in REDs, female athletes and endurance sports and an accomplished trail runner herself.
We discuss her journey towards a life closer to nature, aligned with her core values in life but also, in her work to help athletes thrive in their health and endurance journey. She shares how running has been a powerful way for her to connect with nature, support her mental health and find social connection. From her first run alongside the canal, to ultras in the mountains, she reflects on the achievements, its impact on her self-confidence but also her hopes it can help others from minority groups, to take on these adventures too.
We also discuss finding balance, the power of taking a step back to recognise where we are, as well as her experience with sarcoidosis and perimenopause.
Plus, she answers some fantastic questions from you, our listeners, submitted via Instagram stories
I hope you love listening as much as I loved this conversation, enjoy the episode!
Subscribe to "She Trails Podcast" for future episodes, where we dive into female trail runner stories, and get inspired to explore new paths and seek our own adventures, whatever they may be.
