It has shaped us as humans, it's a central part of who we are, and if we don't do that, we will not obtain optimal health. Eating those foods, well-raised, is integral to our optimal health as humans. It's always been part of our evolutionary blueprint. Healing The Gut-Brain Connection "A lot of our mental environment is determined by our biology. I've worked with a lot of people with psychiatric issues and a lot of these underlying issues whether it's anxiety, depression, etc. they're based on some degree of neuroinflammation. There is some irritation, some activation of the immune system in the brain and that can absolutely be connected with issues in the gut.
