If you create something before anyone commits to buying it, you immediately lack market validation (ie. proof that people actually want it and will pay for it).

Without market validation - you take the MASSIVE risk of creating something that your audience doesn’t actually want. That means weeks or months of your limited time creating something that may not even sell.
