Professor Richard Weller is a UK dermatologist, researcher and world expert on the effect of ultraviolet (UV) light on systemic health. We discuss sunlight, skin cancer and the profound findings of large population-based studies that greater ultraviolet (UV) light and sunlight exposure is associated with greater longevity and less chronic disease.

Prof. Weller's  discovery of nitric oxide (NO) release in the skin on UV-A exposure was pivotal in understanding the cardiovascular benefits of sunlight.
