"Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded." -Jess Lair
In this episode, Diane and I talk about:
Diane Sorensen is a relationship-based parenting coach. Her educational background includes Early Childhood Education and Behavioral Science. Diane is also a Behavior Specialist for a Head Start program teaching these skills to teachers and program staff. Diane has studied and is trained in Conscious Discipline which is a comprehensive researched based model of self-regulation. Diane brings consciousness to the parenting and educational toolbox which is the foundation of Diane's teachings. Having worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 30 years, Diane has dedicated her life to the development of young children. When Diane started implementing the skills of relationship-based practices into her classroom others took notice. They could see, hear and most importantly feel a difference in the culture of the classroom. This is when Diane realized that children would benefit if parents also implemented these skills into their home environment and was inspired to start her own coaching program.
