My guest this week is Yaroslava Mahuchikh, the world record holder in the women’s high jump with 2.10. Yaroslava is also an Olympic, World and European gold medalist and she’s only 23! She was even 22 when we recorded this interview in Brussels the day before she won her 3rd Diamond League final.

In this episode, Yaroslava and I talked about the new world record she set in Paris in July, erasing Stefka Kostadinova’s mark that had stood since 1987! Yaroslava also told me how proud she is to represent Ukraine on the world stage. We talked about her first years doing track and field and about her win at the 2017 U18 World championships in Nairobi, a key moment in her career.
