When I saw the title of Paul Taylor’s book, I was jealous. I wish I thought of it! Such a good title full of great insights, messages and science, all delivered in an easy-to-understand (and use) manner. This was a fun chat where we unpacked good stress vs. bad stress, why visceral fat is totally sh*t for you and subcutaneous (under your skin) not so much, how negative thinking can lead to disease, the space between stimulus and response, stressing about potential problems that don’t eventuate (the problem isn’t real but the anxiety is), why people choose to take supplements for longevity while also choosing not to exercise and finally, we chat about the original analysers of the mind and human behaviour; the stoics. Enjoy.
