Hello Everyone! I am so excited about this episode as it is with a dear friend of mine and inspiring woman, Merritt Moore! @physicsonpointe
With Merritt being so inspiring in her achievements, we talk about how she carved her own path, is now the happiest she's ever been as well as how she reached her level of success in a seemingly impossible pursuit! This Woman pursued not one but two extremely demanding careers.
About Merritt
“Merritt has achieved what some would call ‘the impossible’: a career as a professional ballet dancer and as an academic quantum physicist.” - University of Oxford
Dr. Merritt Moore graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors in Physics from Harvard and graduated with a PhD in Atomic and Laser Physics from the University of Oxford. She also pursues a professional ballet career, previously with the Zurich Ballet, Boston Ballet, English National Ballet, and Norwegian National Ballet. She was awarded Forbes 30 under 30, and she was one of the 12 selected candidates to undergo rigorous astronaut selection on BBC Two "Astronauts: Do you have what it takes?"
With her ballet, physics and astronaut background, Dr. Moore’s focus has led her to programming and dancing with robots. She was invited as artist-in-residence at Harvard ArtLab and during the pandemic, she created a number of dances with an industrial robotic arm, which became featured in TIME, Financial Times (FT), Vogue, BBC Click and more.
Merritt has been invited to be the featured speaker at the Forbes Women's Summit in NY and Abu Dhabi, Princeton Physics Department, panelist for the U.S. Embassy 'Women in STEM' Panel in London, and is featured in the bestseller "Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls".

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to another episode! Today I will share how it's so crucial not to listen to hurtful comments that are said to you by maybe a teacher at some point in your life. This podcast is not just for the dancers out there but also the parents. Sometimes a teacher might say your child isn't going to make it.
How do we deal with that? Should we listen to them?
I share my thoughts.

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to a dancers mindset! Today we are going to be talking about what it's like feeling insecure about being different.
I was very insecure about my height for a while, until I decided to embrace it. I will share comments that were made to me that were quite damaging along with how I needed up owning my difference and surrounded myself with the right people.
