Hello Everyone! Welcome Back!
Today we are going to be talking about telling your teacher you're injured and coping with injury. Being a ballet dancer is like being a race horse. When we are injured or in pain, it can feel soul destroying and absolutely terrifying to tell our teacher leading us to hide pain and be more chronically injured later which is not what we want.
We are joined by Suvi my Vaganova buddy again in this episode. let's discuss!

Hello Everyone,
I am so excited for you all to listen to this really pleasant conversation I had with Tiler Peck. The world renowned, incredibly dynamic, musical and versatile dancer of today.
People have said about her
"I don't even have to hear the music to be able to know what it sounds like when I watch you dance."
Tiler Peck started dancing at her mother's studio at the age of two and was introduced to various dance styles.
She worked with former Bolshoi principal dancer Alla Khaniashvili and former New York City Ballet dancers Patricia Neary and Yvonne Munsey.
Peck's journey led her to the School of American Ballet (SAB) and eventually to New York City Ballet.
She had to navigate the transition from jazz to ballet and overcome feelings of comparison and insecurity. P
eck's musicality is a defining characteristic of her dancing, and she describes it as being an extension of the music.
She believes in breaking the rules and being fearless on stage.
In this conversation, Tiler Peck discusses the importance of musicality in ballet and how it can be taught. Can it be taught to the degree Tiler is gifted?
She emphasizes the need for dancers to listen to the music and become comfortable with it, allowing it to guide their movements.
Tiler also shares her experience as a perfectionist and how it has both helped and hindered her progress.
She highlights the importance of finding a balance between striving for perfection and letting go to fully express oneself.
Tiler also talks about the significance of downtime and having experiences outside of ballet, which can enhance a dancer's artistry and bring more depth to their performances.
Let's meet Tiler!

Hello Everyone,
Welcome back to another episode. Today we are talking about something very important which is how goals aren't good enough.
We are VERY good at making goals.
We aren't so good at creating clear a trajectory to achieving them. This is why we feel so anxious, disorganised and like we aren't good enough or achieving anything.
What systems do you have in place? Let's discuss!

Hello Everyone!
Today we are listening to the amazing Wynton Learson Marsalis. The incredible iconic Trumpeter. He is obsessed with practicing and went on to win Grammys in both jazz and classical music in the same year. That's seriously unheard of.
Now for those not in the music world, winning grammys is like winning an oscar, it is the highest award you can get in music and winning in both jazz and classical categories is absolutely phenomenal. He is a sensational musician.
You won't be shocked that he worked extremely hard to get there, with a lot of practice, a lot.
This is what we are going to talk about today.
Get ready to be inspired.

Hello Everyone!
I am super excited for us to speak with Joy Womack. I really resonated with joy as we had similar dreams, and similar goals of learning in Russia. Joy is an extremely determined and ambitious woman. She is always creating big goals in her head and taking her life where the oppurtunity is, not afraid to try and go for it. A really inspiring dancer and woman.
Let's meet Joy!
