November 06, 2019I'm Not Allowed to Talk to StudentsI was told that mental health is too severe a topic for me to present to high schools students. I was told that in order to do this, there needs to be social workers and professionals in the room if I'm going to come on stage and talk about emotion and what makes us human. What does this tell us about our future? People 14-25 years old have the highest rates of suicide and anxiety disorders yet teachers tell me that I can't speak to them honestly about mental health?
