Today's episode is all about hope. A virtue that I feel is absolutely vital to your happiness and success in life. I have found that whatever level of hope I have--there is always a direct correlation to my own sense of well being. This is not by accident. When hope is high, your own feelings will reflect this. When hope is low, you'll feel the effects of this as well. My goal for today is to help you take a measurement of your current level of hope, and most importantly, give some ideas on how to raise it up and keep it up!

Have you ever experienced the roller coaster of emotions? Either your own or someone else's?
As humans, we can experience a full spectrum of emotion, from the depths of despair to the highs of joy. If we're not intentional, we can swing our emotions whichever way the environment pulls.
Today's podcast is all about holding space. More specifically, the power we have to choose the emotion we want to have and to hold onto it despite the emotional pull of the environment or people around us. This is a great skill to help you be a support to other people, as well as support to yourself when you encounter negative emotion around you.

Ep. 22 The Power of Presence
Living in the present moment is a popular catch phrase these days, perhaps because now more than ever, our culture makes it increasingly easy to be distracted. In today's episode I want to share with you WHY you want to be present--What power lies there--and My favorite way to instantly find presence.

Today's topic is all about the Dark Side. And more specifically, how you can Conquer the Devil.
While I always aim to have this podcast be inspiring and uplifting, not every moment of our life always feels that way. In fact, we have been told that there is opposition in all things.
I have found that the more I strive to make positive changes in my own life or the lives of others, I am always met with opposition and resistance. In today's episode I am going to share my favorite tools to use to help you conquer resistance, so you can move forward and do your great work.

SHOWNOTES:
I never tell you the right way to do anything...and I'm the first to say that there are plenty of ways to skin a cat and plenty of ways to practice nearly every personal growth principle or gospel principle. Yet, today, I really am convinced that there is a right way to achieve your goals... "Right way", defined more as a direction rather than a practice. Nonetheless, I think you'll find this episode pretty enthralling and easy to adapt into your own practice of goals, whatever that looks like for you.
We're going to shake down the effectiveness of goals. Do they actually work? What is the best approach to goals? As I prepare for the upcoming New Year, I'm going to tell you about my own experiment I did a few years ago in NOT SETTING goals, what happened, and what is actually more important than a goal than a goal itself.
SHOWNOTES:
1. The Best Goal Is No Goal by Leo Balboa. The article I read that spurred me into abandoning goals for a whole year ;)
2. Ep. 1 Small and Simple Things. One of my favorite episodes that details the power of small and simple things in our life.

Today's episode is all about discerning the thoughts in your head, particularly the ones in third person that start with the word, "You"...
Oddly enough, we too often mistake these thoughts as coming from our own mind. But that would be weird if we were talking to ourself in second person wouldn't it?
Yet, since it sounds like our own voice in our head, most people internalize those thoughts to be their own mind.
Let me give you some examples... ever heard any of these "You" thoughts in your own mind?
"You're not enough."
"You can't..."
"You will never..."
or maybe you've heard the quieter you thoughts that sound like this,
"You are loved."
"You are safe."
"you are supported."
"You are being guided."
"You have a great mission and purpose"
As you can see, "You" thoughts come from outside of us, and from two different sources.
Today we're going to talk about how to distinguish the two, who is actually talking to us, why noticing this can change your life, and two practices that will give you great power over your own mind. Settle in friends, this episode is filled with amazing jewels!

Today's conversation is about the topic of mothering, but perhaps in a very different way than you may be used to hearing. Whether you are a mother or not, doesn't matter, we're talking about the verb, not the role. What is the skill of mothering, how this skill helps you in your own self care, as well as caring for others, and what you can do to take your own skill to a greater level.
SHOWNOTES:
What would it be like if you had power to create the exact life you wanted?
If there was a way to transform struggle and thrive in a life of ease and joy would you be interested?
Perhaps you have heard about the Law of Attraction before. It's a New Age Spirituality teaching (or Law) that whatever you focus on, you create more of.
Are you focusing on the negative in life? You'll get more negative.
Are you focusing on the positive? You'll receive more positive.
Yet, as simple as it sounds to just "think happy thoughts", we humans are a bit more complex.
It's one thing to say it, and quite another to feel it and believe it on the deepest level. This level of deep belief is where the true "attraction" occurs.
Perhaps, like me, you have come across this teaching and held both curiosity and skepticism in the same hand. Is this really true? And perhaps most importantly, how does this fit in with my Gospel beliefs? Can I really have anything I want if I just believe it strongly enough?
I have studied the Law of Attraction for years, and as much as I wanted to fully embrace it, I struggled to reconcile my Gospel beliefs into this framework.
I had some major questions. Things like:
Questions can be an important spark for learning. As I have come to the scriptures and to the Lord--ready and willing to learn, I have found the answers I have sought.
The holes I found in the world's understanding of the Law of Attraction, were completely filled in with Gospel principles.
The truth is, we absolutely do have the power to create our life...
To act for ourselves, and not be acted upon, and it really does have everything to do with how we think and feel about what we want. It all has to do with creation. God's pattern of creation. The world calls it attraction, God calls it creation.
Join me in this free 1 hr course.
We will cover God's pattern of creation and the four tools we must use to make this pattern work in our own life.
You really can create the life you want in a way that is in absolute harmony with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
