In today's episode, Suneera shares her top five time-saving productivity hacks for every CEO. She talks about the importance of utilizing your calendar to the fullest by creating zones, this will ensure quality work. No more hour meetings, Suneera shares how shorter 20 or 40 minute meetings will give you some time afterwards to get actionable steps done. Know what tasks need to get done, deleted or delegated and a virtual or executive assistant can help make sure tasks are completed. Prioritize your “needle moving” tasks first. And lastly, stop having coffee or lunch dates, instead have more purposeful, shorter meetings on your time. This week in CEO School, Suneera is joined by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Joann Lublin to discuss the influences of trailblazing women in the business world, as well as their thoughts on the importance of female entrepreneurs having access to business knowledge and the presence of women making more money. She described situations that were seen as powerful statements about women not being pushed around and being heard and seen and getting known to the public eye. The conversation inspires women to be pioneers in men-dominated fields to open doors to fellow women. Joann is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and speech and leadership speaker; she launched the Wall Street Journal’s first career column and remained a regular contributor. She’s the author of two books about female business leaders. The first is Earning It: Hard Won Lessons from Trailblazing Women at the Top of the Business World, and the second one, which we’ll talk about today, is called Power Moms: How Executive Mothers Navigate Work and Life. Working Mother Medium ranked Power Moms as one of the best 21 books for working moms in 2021. In this episode, Suneera welcomes Ragnhi Naidu, the first female Indian immigrant to have founded and owned a wine brand in Northern California and beyond. Raghni shares her journey of starting in the wine industry with no prior experience, and how she was able to transfer her life skills to succeed in this new field. They explore the challenges Raghni faced in building the life she wanted, including the barriers she faced as a woman and as a person of color in a predominantly white and male industry. She talks about how she overcame these obstacles and built a successful career through perseverance, hard work, and a willingness to take risks. Raghni also shares her experience of pivoting in the face of unforeseen circumstances, such as the pandemic. She talks about the challenges she faced in adapting to new market conditions and the importance of staying positive and focused on the future.
