Jeff Gigante  joins #Clockedin with Jordan Edwards and discusses about the risk he took to live an even better life for himself by betting on Tampa and winning big time. Jeff is a go getter in life and makes sure to live every moment to the maximum. 

Jeff a St Petersburg Fla. native, has been successfully developing a diverse collection of restaurant concepts, for 25 years, steadfastly earning a reputation for hospitality, community involvement, and philanthropy.

Gigante started his path to a  culinary career at a young age. Inspired by memories of the shared family table, he began working in all areas of hospitality, including, service, management, and operations.

During his senior year at Florida State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Film, Gigante, made his foray into the restaurant world, opening Gigamo Bros pizzeria. A few short years later, while pursuing acting and hospitality in NYC, Gigante worked with and befriended the Lanza family, successful entrepreneurs with a passion for restaurants.

Rising from food runner to trusted manager, Gigante convinced James Lanza to come to Tampa Bay, a city he saw as bright with potential for food and beverage and entertainment concepts. Lanza was hooked and together the two would co found along with chef Luis Flores, Ciccio Restaurant Group, establishing multiple popular brands over the better part of two decades.

In 2019, Gigante, with an eye towards his own vision, opened Forbici Modern Italian, in Tampa's Hyde Park Village, known for Roman style pizza and pastas, in a lively, convivial atmosphere.

The formation of Next Level Brands is a natural evolution and the culmination of Gigante's life's work. Bringing together a talented and dedicated team built on valued relationships and an unwavering commitment to next level hospitality.

Gigante's true inspiration comes from his wife and best friend of 16 years, Erica and their children, Ciro and Isabel. The Gigante's enjoy travelling, water sports, family bike rides, and of course shared meals where Gigante's favorite saying has become a family motto: "Every friend was once a stranger."

Justin Sloan  joins #Clockedin with Jordan Edwards and discusses about personal finance, delayed gratification and how to retire at the age of 32. Justin is filled will wisdom and an even better person. 

Justin is a business-oriented and highly driven entrepreneur who is passionate about investment and asset management. Justin ventured into the world of business at the age of 20 when he took every penny in his bank account and started his first cell phone retail store with himself as the only employee. After months of working every day open to close, the business was able to hire the first employee and eventually grow into a large chain. 

His experience in business and exposure to management equipped him with valuable skills in financial management, market analytics, and opportunity arbitrage.

As the cellular stores grew, Justin focused on diversifying his investments mainly into real estate before retiring at the fresh age of 32. After two years of complete boredom, it was time to get back to what Justin does best, helping businesses grow.

The fourth-generation “caretaker” of the Columbia Restaurant Group, Richard Gonzmart has been named – as part of more than 100 awards – Community Hero by the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Boys and Girls Clubs, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. He also has been officially named a Luminary, a Visionary and a Philanthropist of the Year as well as Father of the Year, Hispanic Man of the Year, Businessman of the Year, Alumni of the Year at Jesuit and Academy of the Holy Names, Outstanding Citizen of the Year and Tampa Police Citizen of the Year.

He has been inducted into five Hall of Fames, among them, the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA) Hall of Fame. He is a three-time James Beard semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurateur.

Gonzmart serves or has served on dozens of non-profit boards and organizations, including Tampa General Hospital’s governing board. He is passionate about the education of our youth and young adults, and about finding a cure for cancer.

Richard’s great-grandfather started the world-famous Columbia Restaurant in Tampa’s historic Ybor City in 1905. Still 100 percent family-owned, it’s now the oldest restaurant in Florida. There are seven Columbia restaurants in the state. Other restaurant concepts include Casa Santo Stefano, Cha Cha Coconuts, Ulele, Goody Goody and Café Con Leche Ybor City, increasing the number of restaurants to 14 and brands to six.

Richard has been married to his high school sweetheart and first love Melanie Gonzmart since 1973. They have two daughters, Lauren and Andrea. Andrea works with her father in the family business. He has five grandchildren: Twins Isabella and Michael, Maximilian, Alexander and Amelia, who represent the 6th generation.

Fun fact is a marathon runner and avid guitar collector over 200 guitars.

Michael Sapienza and Angie Lawry join #Clockedin with Jordan Edwards and discusses about how the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (CCA) came to be. Discussing about what Cologne Cancer means to each them. 

Michael and Angie raise awareness for the importance of testing early for Cologne Cancer.

Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, lost his mother to the disease in May 2009. He turned his profound grief into action, inspiring and challenging the colorectal cancer community, family, friends, and professional associates to follow his lead and dedicate themselves to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime—now the mission of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. Michael served as President and Founder of The Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation from 2010-2015. He was an integral member of the team that led the effort to merge the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation and the Colon Cancer Alliance, creating the nation’s largest colon cancer specific nonprofit. In 2017, the Colon Cancer Alliance changed its name to Colorectal Cancer Alliance, embracing the entire colorectal cancer community.

Michael is a member of The Ruesch Center for the Cure of GI Cancer’s Advisory board at Georgetown University. In 2014, Michael received three prestigious industry awards: the David Jagelman, MD Award for advocacy in Colorectal Cancer Awareness by the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons; the Public Service Award from the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract; and the Champion Award from Preventing Colorectal Cancer. He regularly appears on TV and radio programs throughout the United States to promote the importance of increased funding for colorectal cancer research and early detection. Michael holds degrees from both Northwestern University and Rice University and currently resides in the District of Columbia.
