The iconic plastic doll conjures up childhood memories and Lo is serving up some 90's nostalgia for you on this episode. Director Greta Gerwig took on the difficult task of creating a film based on the beloved Mattel doll best known for reinforcing conventional stereotypes of women, but tried to rebrand her as a symbol of women's empowerment for a new generation.
