COURTESANS AS REPAIR ENZYMES FOR OUR INTIMACY AND RELATIONSHIPS

People who have sensual mastery themselves, and who might be able to contribute to the betterment of sensual lives of others are so badly needed in our culture right now.

Our relationships and intimacies are in widespread breakdown.

Traditional therapy and couple’s counseling has its uses, but most often, the traditional therapist is as stumped in helping their clients in the sensuality department as the average citizen.

In this gap of need, there is actually a very big space available for people who are gifted in the sensual arts, people who have felt the call of their Courtesan archetype, to step in and work with people and help them jumpstart their sensual connections.  But the shadowiness around this kind of work creates an amount of doubt and self-cancellation in the prospective courtesan that is disheartening to witness.

It is indeed unfair that our current culture is not very welcoming or praising of this archetype. It is quite ironic that this is so.  The same people who might benefit from the services of a masterful courtesan, male or female, are also the people who may look down on the courtesan archetype and all that they have to offer.

This places an extra burden on the practitioner.  I feel they get burdened with carrying the collective sexual shame of our entire culture — that is a big load to carry!
