In this episode, I speak with one of my very close friends, Damon Burton. Damon is a Forbes contributor and an Amazon best-selling SEO book author that helps you show up higher on Google… without paying for ads. His clients include the Utah Jazz’s Team Store and businesses featured on Shark Tank and recognized by Inc. Damon and I connected and this fascinating way, not only because we're entrepreneurs but because we have this fascination with trying to create change in our life. It’s very much about living life on your terms and having what you want to have. Damon is a person in my life that I see embodied. I talk about the site about mentorship and coaching and things like that, but I look at Damon even though he's not directly my mentor, but I love the way that this person is creating the life that he wants to have, and that becomes a point of measurement for me. I'm always looking towards other people, not because of any other reason than I believe. As a communal species, if we look at people who are simply one step ahead of where we want to go, we can also start to formulate and create the pathway.

I want to share one of the insights that I took away from my conversation with Damon. You can probably relate to this; we have this drive to make things better for other people. I look at his story, his life, what he's come from. No matter what we come from, our experience, our zip code, our family structure, any of those things, if we stay focused, remove distractions, create a north star, make this goal and move towards every single day, on a long enough timeline, it can come to fruition.
