Have you ever visited a physician and had so much weight stigma and bias thrown at you, that you end up going home feeling defeated and bad about yourself? Knowing how to effectively give and receive feedback can be a very powerful tool in these situations, and help you to discern what resonates with you and what can be left behind.
To help us wrap our heads around this, I invited my best friend and business coach, Amanda Sabicer, to give us her unique take on feedback, and how to become the authority on yourself. We also dive into the topic of medical advocacy, where Amanda shares her personal struggles within the medical system, and why it’s time to redefine what it means to be a “good” patient.
Don’t miss this incredibly fun interview, which has a lot of advice and practical application for patients struggling to feel heard.
