In five episodes of the Uncover YOU podcast we’re putting one of the most powerful principles for transformation to work: to turn towards that which we want to change. Instead of running from our minds, we’re going to look closely at the fear-based dream that has snuck in. More than that, we’re going to have a conversation with the Devil himself, hiding in any mind that is run by fear.
You can follow along by reading the book Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill, and then listen to each of the episodes where I’m connecting it with the self mastery work and giving your journal prompts to apply the insights from the book to your own process.
In episode three of this series, I discuss the two main tools that the Devil uses to gain control over your mind.
1️⃣ Domestication
From family, culture, society norms, school system and religion. Whatever school of thought you’ve been brought up in, a vast majority have in common that they don’t train you to develop your own thinking, but rather instill the belief that there are right and wrong answers and someone else has them.
This is how fear-based thinking spreads from the collective to you at a young age and has you doubt your own ability to think independently.
This supports the next clever trick of the Devil 👇
2️⃣ The habit of drifting
Once you’ve been domesticated with the idea that you shouldn’t think for yourself, but rather look outside for the right answers, you’ll be moving further and further into automated thinking.
It’s where you don’t have a clear intent, feel like a victim to circumstances and operate mainly from unconscious fear-based beliefs.
Once you’re drifting, you’re easy prey for the Devil.
