Caught up in the contentious 2016 US Presidential election, Richard made a conscious decision to focus on the things that made him happy–emails that he received from Peter Diamandes about all different types of technological advances. To that end, he decided to start Future Tech Podcast as a way to learn and get more involved in the space.
He wrote the book “Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Blockchain: Surprising Insights from 200+ Interviews” and is also the creator of the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Blockchain Superconference happening in Dallas, Texas February 16-18, which promises to be a success with 1400 attendees and an additional 200-300 speakers and promoters.
In this informative interview, Richard discusses what he sees as the causes of the volatility that we have seen so far this year throughout cryptocurrency, the relationship to the traditional stock market, and how this is keeping institutional players from investing in the space.
He also talks about the news stories he hopes we’ll see this year, what he wants to see as far as market-ready commercial blockchain uses, the excitement for protocol technology and coins that can hop blockchains, and more.
