He describes how our children, struggling with mental health issues, need us to look deeply into ourselves, our history, to discover how we are participating in the family dynamics. He explains how healthy attachment is the best predictor of our children’s mental health and how doing our work, not the quality of our childhood, is the best predictor of whether or not we are able to provide our children with a healthy, secure attachment.
