A few years ago, I was famous in some circles, but a stranger at home with my family.

I remember my wife made a comment that stung, "Since Tiger (my then 4-year-old son) doesn't get to see you much, he just hasn't had the time to build a relationship with you yet."

Ouch.

Painful, yet true – as a reality check often is.
