In today’s episode, we cover overcoming procrastination and loneliness at work with Adam Grant. Adam is a top-rated professor at the Wharton School, the host of the awesome Worklife podcast, and is the author of “Give and Take”, one of his four New York Times bestselling books.


Procrastination is associated with laziness by many, but the science shows us otherwise - so if procrastinators aren’t lazy then why do we assume they are, what can you do about your procrastination if you want to change it, and why is now the best time to overcome your procrastination habit?

  • If you find yourself procrastinating, it’s not necessarily a problem with your work ethic, but can certainly be a problem with your ability to regulate your emotions. When confronted with a task that makes you feel uncomfortable (angry, uncertainty, frustrated, annoyed, anxious, etc), procrastination can kick in to help you avoid feeling those things.
