Flemming Christensen on Enneagram Blind Types and the Enneagram as a Way of Life

Listen Later

In this episode of the International Enneagram Association podcast, Seth “Creek” Creekmore and Ahmad Wazir speak with Flemming Christensen, founder and owner of THINK ABOUT IT and The Enneagram Institute of Denmark, about his work with the Enneagram. In this first part of the conversation, we get to know Flemming as he shares stories from his early career, the loss of loved ones, and his discovery of what he calls the “blind type.”

Enneagram Trainings

Throughout the conversation, Flemming reflects on how his relationship with the Enneagram has evolved - from using it as a tool for consulting to embracing it as a mindset and spiritual practice. He also describes how his Zen Buddhist training has shaped his understanding of presence, awareness, and the deeper purpose of self-inquiry.

2. Cultural Perspectives on Growth and Teaching

Flemming shares insights gained from working with Enneagram students from diverse cultural backgrounds. From Denmark to Egypt and the United States, he reflects on how cultural values such as equality, authority, and co-creation shape how people learn, teach, and engage in personal development.

3. The Enneagram as a Mindset

Rather than viewing the Enneagram as just a personality tool, Flemming describes it as a mindset for living. Influenced by Buddhist psychology, he explains how the Enneagram can support presence, surrender, and the capacity to meet life as it is.

Tune in for a thoughtful conversation about depth, loss, integration, and what it means to live an Enneagram-informed life.
