Flow State Business

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love travelling and seeing the world. It's been almost five years since I've been full-time in my business, and since that time, Michael and I have travelled around the world with our kids and are now on our second adventure. 

There are a lot of lifestyle changes that go along with making the bold decision to change things up and live an alternative life. We took the risk and are now living our dream life, but that’s not to say there aren’t challenges and frustrations along the way. It’s all part of the journey!

So in this episode, I’m chatting about the nitty gritty of travelling and running a business with my 7 year old by my side. I share how we’re navigating through all the emotions, the energy and the paperwork of establishing ourselves in a foreign country and setting up the business to be a USA based company. 

I talk openly about the realities of living out of a suitcase, and how this trip is different from the first round of travelling we did as a family. I also share really honestly about the challenge of balancing the business and motherhood and the mum guilt I have been feeling recently. 

Despite the challenges and frustrations, I know that I am living out my best timeline and I always come back to gratitude for the abundance of good that the universe has to offer me.

An aspect of my business that I’m really starting to place my focus and intention on is content creation and in particular, building up my YouTube channel. So in this episode, I want to share with you how I’m using YouTube as part of my online coaching strategy. 

As always, I’m keeping the chat super honest and real about where I’ve personally struggled, the challenges I’m facing and the work I’ve been doing to rearrange some of the unwanted beliefs around building up an audience and creating success in the YouTube arena. 

I’ve been so inspired lately by YouTubers such as Alex Hormozi, Shelby Church and Ali Abdaal, just to name a few. I talk a little about how these entrepreneurs are showing us what’s really possible in terms of building wealth through passive income streams. 

Whilst I’m learning about building up my watch time and staying consistent with the content I’m releasing, I’m also leaning into the fun and playfulness of it all and maintaining an energy of peace. I talk about making sure we don’t have an attachment to the outcome and hold things too tightly, but more allow them to unfold and enjoy the journey. 

So if you’re trying something new in your business or thinking of ways to build up your content and your audience or create more passive income streams, I really hope this episode inspires you to stay the course. Whatever you want to build, you can do it completely and authentically your way. A huge conversation that’s happening worldwide right now, especially in the content creation and entrepreneurial world, is around the topic of ChatGPT. I’ve been talking a lot lately about making a million dollars in flow and this is a topic I’m going to keep talking about all year long! Because, despite what some people may think, you CAN make so much money in flow and you don’t have to be stressed out, spread thin and depleted of all your energy while you’re doing it. 

Today I’m talking about reclaiming your time so that you can energetically hit the refresh button and start living a more happy and fulfilling life as an entrepreneur. Building your purpose work in this world is meant to be fun! In this episode, I continue to share the beginnings of my business journey and how I navigated a time when my energy had plateaued and I’d cornered myself into a business that had zero time freedom. 

I talk about a time when I was constantly busy doing all the things in my business, leaving no time or energy for clarity, focused productivity, creativity, and giving back to my kids. I struggled to set boundaries, I was spreading myself thin and the cognitive load left me feeling drained of all my energy. This is when I realised the importance of following the magic of flow. 

When I started doing what required the least amount of effort, that’s when I discovered more flow. In this episode I share a really practical exercise I did to help me reclaim my time and understand where my energy needed to focus. Doing this immediately helped me see how I could create the space and energy I needed to scale my business to seven figures with absolute ease. 

If you’re feeling stuck, your energy is depleted, you’re doing things that you no longer want to do in your business, always come back to your vision and your dream. Your vision might change over time, and that’s okay. It’s about learning to flow with what feels GOOD.

My business has changed quite drastically over the years. On more than one occasion, I’ve done a complete business overhaul to align my business with the life that I truly wanted to live. 

And this is where I see a lot of entrepreneurs get stuck. It’s scary to let go of what’s comfortable and the things that ‘make sense’. But right now I’m doubling down on my global dreams, and that’s only possible because I was willing to let go of what wasn’t serving me. 

I’m currently in the process of creating a home base both in the USA and Australia. Michael and I are setting up the business to expand our lives, create new opportunities and enable even more freedom and expansion. This is the business I wanted to create right from the beginning, but it took a few iterations to find a sustainable business model that would support the dream. 

In this episode, I’m diving deeper into how I built my business for expansion and the steps I took to create a global online business that truly serves me. I talk about my experience with a coach who challenged me in the best possible way to stop playing small. This mastermind experience opened my eyes to what was possible for me and within 6 weeks, I had completely remodelled my business, closing down a huge component of my income. I stopped doing what was draining me and started thinking about how I could create sustainable products and offerings. This is what ultimately led me to the coaching model I’m operating in my business today. 

If your business isn’t working for you, you need to change something. And when you are bold enough to listen to your gut and ask yourself the big questions, that’s when you’ll discover the freedom of living a life full of flow of passion. The only way to stuff up entrepreneurship is to keep doing the things that you hate!

I hope this episode inspires you to take a closer look at where you are and where you truly want to be. Perhaps it’s time to journal on some of those bigger questions and listen to what your heart is saying.

My dream in becoming my own CEO was to create a freedom based business that gave me more time, more money and more flexibility to do the things I love. But it took me a while to understand how to actually run my business in a way that really facilitated those dreams. There was a time when I felt like I’d left my full time job and created a 24 7 trap for myself!

Today I’m taking you behind the scenes of my first few years in business whilst navigating a somewhat sketchy start. I pivoted 7 times, and worked through a lot of self doubt, fear and belief systems in order to position myself in the market and own my personal brand. 

So many women I’ve coached over the years have felt trapped in their businesses, wanting to burn it all down to the ground and start again. Trust me, you don’t have to do that. In this episode, I talk about coming back to your dream and pivoting your business to become something that truly supports the lifestyle you want. 

I share some of the questions I asked myself to help me make practical decisions about the way I ran my business. In the beginning, my business model was unsustainable and the idea of a 7 figure business didn’t seem real to me at all. But through support from coaches, mentors and a strong network of people who believed in me, the million dollar dream became very real to me. 

If your business isn’t supporting your idea of freedom, that’s a fast way to reach burnout and frustration. But I absolutely believe that you can create a business that you love and one that facilitates everything you hope to create in this life. I hope you enjoy hearing a little more about my story today and that it encourages you in your own entrepreneurial journey.

I knew I had something to offer, and I said yes to every opportunity. As time went on, I scaled and grew my side hustle to the point where it was time to venture out on my own. 

I attribute so much of my success to the fact that I just kept going. I had the discipline, I had a network which I was diligent to nurture and I had something really valuable to share. I talk about the early days in business, learning about building a personal brand, raising my prices and understanding how to mentor and coach others in an intuitive and authentic way.

I wanted to jump on before the year ended to share some of my predictions in business for 2023. In summary this is what you can expect:

•2023 will be a year of high flow and quick decisions. This is the year where we see the collective turn from in the box strategies to understanding energetic alignment.

• The super flow highway is an energetic pathway that allows us to move through life with ease and grace. It is a state of being that is aligned with our highest good.

• This year, more people than ever before will begin to awaken to their own power and potential. They will start to understand that they are the creators of their reality.

• As more people become aware of their own power, they will begin to collectively create a new reality. This reality will be one that is based on love, compassion, and respect for all beings.
