  • 225: The Power of Inspiration: How to Get Clarity, Confidence, and Take Action in Your Business

Whether you're having a hard year, a "stuck-in-the-rut" year or a BUMPER year, there's ONE thing EVERY woman in business needs to SUCCEED…

And it's NOT about your branding, your website, working more hours or finding some shiny new marketing strategy.

In fact, it's NOT about ANY one specific tactic or strategy!

After more than 28 years growing MULTIPLE 6, 7 & 8 figure businesses (and helping more than 35,000 other women in business grow THEIR businesses), here's what I know to be true…

    You Need to BE INSPIRED.

In this episode, we explore the power of inspiration in my business and how it can lead to clarity, confidence, and action.

Drawing on my experience of growing multiple 6, 7, and 8-figure businesses and helping over 35,000 women grow their businesses, I share insights, stories, and strategies to help me tap into my inspiration and become more successful.

And I'm not talking about "light and fluffy" inspiration that evaporates faster than you can say "Hallmark Card".

I'm talking GRITTY, real, keep-you-going-through-the-tough-times inspiration.

The inspiration that helps you become more profitable by getting paid what you're worth (and stops you from over-delivering and over-compensating!).

The inspiration that removes the self-doubt and helps you play a bigger game without the stress and second-guessing.

The inspiration that makes you irresistible to your perfect customers and opens new doors of possibility as you grow your audience and impact.

That kind of spirited strength that doesn't need to shove you out of your comfort zone because it's magnetically drawing you TOWARDS where you need to go.

The "animated force" that cuts through the confusion and helps you instantly get out of your head and into clarity and action.

And when you can tap into that inspiration, you become unstoppable, no matter what the challenge.

    Real-Life Examples of Inspired Action

I also share three stories of women who have been inspired to take action and achieve success in their businesses.

    These stories include:

Bernadette Janson of She Renovates, who generated $50,000 in just 5 days by implementing a new strategy she learned at a HerBusiness event.

Joanna Anderson, a roofing business owner, who was inspired by a HerBusiness guest speaker to create a recurring revenue stream for her business.

Nadia Omair, an award-winning working mum, who was inspired by the women in the HerBusiness community to grow her business and become an inspiring figure for others.

  • 224: The Art of Actualisation: Breaking Free from Procrastination and Fear

Everyone has dreams and goals they want to achieve, but what stops us from turning those dreams into reality? Often, it's procrastination and fears that hold us back from taking the necessary actions to actualise our visions. In this episode of the HerBusiness podcast, we'll explore the common obstacles that prevent us from taking action and share strategies to overcome them, empowering you to transform your dreams into reality.

    1. Confusing Doing with Actualising

One of the most common pitfalls is confusing busyness with taking action. While filling our days with tasks might feel productive, it's crucial to distinguish between tasks that simply keep us busy and those that are essential for our success. When we focus on tasks that genuinely move us closer to our goals, we'll make progress and start to actualise our visions.

    2. Not Starting from a Position of Clarity or Centeredness

A clear vision and a centred mindset is crucial for effective action. When we lack clarity, it's challenging to determine which steps to take towards achieving our goals. Creation comes from inspiration, not just to-do lists or plans. Take the time to find clarity and focus on your goals; the action steps will become apparent.

    3. Fear

Fear can be a significant barrier to taking action. Both fear of failure and fear of success can stop us from actualising our visions. The more significant our dreams, the greater our fear, leading to procrastination as a way to avoid potential failure. To overcome fear, we need to confront it and recognise that taking risks is a natural part of achieving our goals.

Strategies for Overcoming Procrastination and Fear

We also explore practical strategies for overcoming FEAR and PROCRASTINATION.

By adopting these strategies, you'll be better equipped to take powerful action towards actualising your vision and achieving your goals. Remember, clarity leads to power, and with the right mindset and support, you can transform your dreams into reality.

  • 223: How a Retreat Experience Unlocked My Best Business Ideas

Have you ever felt like you're constantly in "go-go-go" mode, juggling daily tasks and responsibilities?

    I know I have.

It's easy for business owners like you and me to overlook the power of taking a break from our daily environment.

However, during these breaks, we often come up with our best ideas and make significant leaps in our businesses.

In this podcast episode, I will share my experience attending a retreat and its life-changing impact on me and my business.

Taking that leap of faith all those years ago was a way to 'break the mould' of a future being carved out FOR me and allowed me to take the reigns and create the business I wanted. One that truly reflects my own desires and my purpose.

Because we work too hard to live an 'average' existence and feel exhausted and trapped in our business.

    If you find yourself thinking:

"I want to like my business again."

"I want growth in business, but not at the cost of everything else in my life."

Or, "I want to have direction." … you'll love hearing how other women around doing it.

… you'll really enjoy this episode.

    Listen to Hear:

-> The unexpected benefits of travel and new environments

-> How travelling to new places and immersing ourselves in different environments can provide a fresh perspective and inspire us.

-> Why surrounding ourselves with like-minded people gives us access to new points of view that we might not have considered.

-> How exposing ourselves to novel experiences can elevate our businesses and personal growth.

    Plus, A Personal Story

You'll also hear how a trip to Hawaii in 1993 changed EVERYTHING and put me on the RIGHT trajectory to create the life I have and love today.

By stepping out of my comfort zone and investing in myself 30 years ago, I could question my life's direction and create a new vision for my future. That pivotal experience taught me the value of pausing, reflecting, and reimagining what is possible.

This is the same place that I'm so proud to take women to every year for the REACH Retreat.

    The Power of Reflection

Taking time to pause and reflect is essential for reconnecting with our authentic selves and noticing things that might have been overlooked in our busy lives. We can make powerful changes and step into our full potential by giving ourselves the space to examine our thoughts, feelings, and desires.

Thomas Friedman, in his book, Thank You for Being Late, writes:

"When you press the pause button on a machine, it stops. But when you press the pause button on human beings, they start. You start to reflect, you start to rethink your assumptions, you start to reimagine what is possible and, most importantly, you start to reconnect with your most deeply held beliefs."
