In this era of social media we’re all familiar with the term: highlight reel. Instagram captures the best bits of our lives. Curated, perfect and worthy of a Hollywood movie. We also know that watching other people’s highlights can make us feel pretty shitty. It’s been called the Highlight Reel Effect. We compare and feel envious. We forget for a moment that everything is filtered. So how can we engage in highlights in a better way?
