In today's Focus Friday, I map out the 4 ways that you can overcome resistance and start gaining momentum towards those very dreams- today.
IN THIS EPISODE:What we've been up to and the moment that inspired today's episode [ 1:24 ]
How change happens (Step 1) [ 5:59 ]
Becoming the example (Step 2) [ 9:45 ]
Question from listener: Why am I feeling resistance to thinks I feel like I *should* do? [ 12:15 ]
Align with the people who are there to cheer you on (Step 3) [ 15:26 ]
Remember your why, every single day (Step 4) [ 16:56 ]
Recap and final thoughts [ 19:43 ]
"We start, very simply, by starting. Change comes when we begin; the momentum builds upon itself."
"In order for me to create the change that I desired, I had to be the example."
"The thing that has been whispering to you all of your days, the thing that you have been called to- it has been given to you. It is a divine gift. You wouldn't have it, if it wasn't for you."
"Pursue your own joy, you don't need someone else to give you permission."
"In order to get where you want to go, you've got to put those shoes on and get moving."

"Wherever you are, there's always room to grow."
"I wanted to believe in me more than anyone else believed in me."

I know I'm not alone in saying that sometimes it feels like everyone else has got it all figured out, while your own life feels like one big perpetual 'work in progress.'
Which is why I needed to have this conversation with you; because there are days (like today), when I'm right there with you. Some days (weeks.. months.. seasons)- don't quite go along with the plan; and I've finally learned that this is actually part of the plan (whether I want it to be or not)..
Today's Focus Friday is all about honoring you and whatever season of your life that you're in. It's about stepping into the sacred space that is this moment, and it's about making room for what's yet to fill it in the next.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN:Being in the season that you're in in your life, business and relationships [ 0:41 ]
One of my biggest day to day challenges as a mamapreneur [ 3:07 ]
What happens when we get stuck "doing" instead of "being" [ 10:01 ]
How can you carve out time to have a daily conversation with yourself? [ 17:20 ]
How to use our visions to inspire us rather than defeat us [ 18:15 ]
"If I can't be in alignment for myself, then you better believe I'm not going to be in alignment for the people I love the most."
"I want you to stop racing and competing with people who are in a completely different race."
"Be on the start line of your own race; be in your own lane. Remember why you chose what you chose for this life and practice being in it."
"We have to stop using our dreams and our desires as a weapon against this present version of ourselves- and allow them to be something that inspires us rather than reminds us of how far we are from where we want to go."
"Make room for the inspiration that's going to lead you to the creation of what's next."
"I'm here for the expansion, I'm here for the love, I'm here for the growth; and the pace at which I do that is going to be different from the pace at which others do that- and there's nothing wrong with that."

In this week's Focus Friday, I'm answering a listener's question about what it feels like when others take our power away and worrying, correction: obsessing, about what other people think about us.
Been there, done that, right?

It's never too late to begin prioritizing ourselves, and in this week's episodes, I break down some of the ways I, myself, have found more space and more love in my life for the one person who has ever had the power to change it…me.

The big question I have for YOU to answer [ 18:30 ]
"No one can take your power away, especially as high functioning, compassionate adults. But we can give our power away, very readily and very easily, because of patterns that were laid as children when our power was, indeed, taken away from us."
"Your big goals, your big vision, cannot come to life without prioritizing the delivery system-the channel. And you know who that channel is… it's you."
"My big vision cannot happen if I don't pick myself for my own team."

FEBRUARY 1, 2018I learned so much last weekend in LA with Lewis and his crew at the Greatness Mastermind retreat, but the biggest realization came from reflecting on what it took to get me there.
It wasn't money. It wasn't time. It wasn't having someone to look after my little one.
It was the courage to get on the plane, itself.
I know you know what I'm talking about.
The showing up is always the hardest part.
That first moment when we walk in to the room of rock stars. That physical CLAIMING of our dreams that takes place when we tell the people we love we're diving in head first.
When we DO show up, when we get on the plane, buy the ticket....signup- for our dreams...our lives are dramatically changed.
When we say YES to the invitation to up level our experience here… magic always happens.
In this Focus Friday episode on the podcast, I talk about the 5 reasons why getting on the plane will make a massive impact in your life and in your business in some surprising ways you may not expect, and why taking the long walk down that jet bridge could be the most game-changing walk you ever take.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN:An invitation to get on the plane in your own life [:46]
What it means to "get on the plane" [ 3:16 ]
Why getting on the plane helps you dream bigger [ 8:25 ]
How we grow our tribe by surrounding ourselves with other [ 11:02 ]
How showing up refocuses you on what leads to results [ 13:40 ]
How consistency is the way [ 15:23 ]
How getting on the plane helps you become the person you need to be to get to the next level [ 18:51 ]
"We are being called to give birth to something bigger and we are being called to trust and have faith in that process."
"The only way that anything is ever going to happen is if we have the courage to actually dream it."
"Being in the room with people like the folks at this Mastermind experience, we realize that we're no longer separate. We're more alike than we are different."
"Get on the plane. Sign up. Say YES. Step up to your own greatness.. You couldn't possibly know what waits for you on the other side of your fear."

Did you look at the title of this podcast and think, "but what if I'll never succeed"
Or…"I don't even know what success means."
Good news! This one's for you.
Success is not a predetermined destination or a place that only the lucky ones arrive at. Success is whatever you decide it is.
What a relief that we get to choose our own success trajectory.
Today's episode is about reverse engineering our success and defining for ourselves what it is in life that would bring us the most joy; and it's also about living with that joy… in this very moment.
Grab a pen and some paper for this one, I'm about to ask you questions that dig right in to the heart of your desire and help you understand what success looks like for you, and how you just might find it.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN:How to define success for yourself
The questions to ask yourself to help you move into total alignment
What it means to bring the joy with you
"We can create a life and a journey to align with what our definition of success is."
"We don't get what we want because we're desperate. We get what we desire because we're inspired."
"We cannot operate from a place of ultimate conditions. We need to operate from a place of unconditional success."
"Are you preparing with, or for, your joy?"
Today's episode hosts one of those conversations that goes straight for the heart and reminds us of the truth: that we don't need to prove anything to anyone to be worthy.
In the words of Dr. Maya Angelou, our crowns have already been bought and paid for, we just need to wear them.
And... in the words of my dear friend and today's rockstar guest…we are all queens.
From the moment I met Karin Haysbert at Brendon Burchard's Expert's Academy, I was drawn in by her spirit and captivating energy. We became instant friends and spent the rest of the weekend sitting together in sessions ( when you meet a soul sister, you just know).
I beyond blessed to have her on the podcast today and to share her wisdom with my tribe.. Karin is the author of Queen Arise: 40 Days to Liberating the Queen Within You, an incredible speaker and, as she so beautifully states, a Queen for Christ.
For the parts of you that feel unworthy, the parts of you that feel like you're a mess… and most importantly, the part of you that's ready to accept and step into the Queen that you've always been, I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN:How to see our trials as beautiful and necessary for growth
What it means to be a Queen
How having more compassion for yourself helps you have more compassion for your partner
What practices Karin uses to help retrain her thoughts
How Karin views money mindset and body image
How did you begin sharing your message the way you do now?
What do you say to women who are holding themselves back?
When you were suffering, what made you surrender and move forward?
What do you say to someone who wants to hold onto their "victim" status
How do you define the word "Queen"?
How have you approached your challenges and fears around money mindset?
"We're holding ourselves in bondage. We're holding ourselves in these patterns that God has forgotten about, but we're still remembering."
"People could not hear my voice because I would not open my mouth."
"The truth is, if you're still here, you still have purpose. You still have destiny. There's still a lot of great things for God to use you in and do through you."
"If I continue to hold onto the past, I am enslaving myself. You are the jailer and you are the one who can open the lock and let yourself out."
"Nothing that happens to me diminishes my worth and value."
"Love is giving someone what they need, even if you don't."
"Being a queen means that you know who you are. You know what you're sent to do. And you're willing and able to say 'Yes' to that assignment."
"I just need to believe. The 'how' is up to God, and God will reveal it step by step."

JANUARY 12, 2018Do you ever find yourself scrolling through your Facebook feed or checking out someone's Insta story, only to close the app on your phone and somehow feel a little...less than?
Whether consciously or not, chances are you've got a little bit of comparisonitis going on, and could find yourself in the "compare and despair" mode. Sound familiar?
Today's episode is all about that feeling we get when we believe that who we are, as we are, isn't enough. It's about the beliefs we hold true that trigger us to think that we don't have within us what it takes to be epic; that who we are somehow isn't enough.
Grab a notebook and pen, because I ask some questions in this episode that are gonna get you digging deep in reflection to begin unraveling those lies you've been telling yourself.
Guess what, fam- I'm calling BS on all those little lies today...and I'm showing you how you can too.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN:What is "comparisonitis" and how does it hold us back
The question I asked myself that changed how I will look at myself forever
Questions for you to journal and reflect on to help you move into alignment and total self acceptance
"When we spend a lot of time comparing ourselves to other people, it stops us from moving forward on our own missions."
"So many of us live our lives trying to fix ourselves, rather than focus on, simply, improving."
"We are coming to the work presupposing that there's something inherently wrong with us, rather than just stepping into the truth that we are good enough as we are."
"I am not here to fix me, I am here to accept me."
"You can witness someone that you admire and see them as a reflection of what is already great within you."
