Ali Essig is a plant-based nutritionist, the founder of PlantWhys, and the creator of plant-based courses and memberships where she helps women over 40 lose weight and overcome emotional eating with a plant-based diet.
As a mother of six children, including twin baby boys, Ali found herself rushing to the emergency room with her 37 year old husband who had just suffered a stroke. After multiple tests, doctors found no clear answers and encouraged their family to avoid saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol and to eat more fiber.
Ali dived deep into the research and found that eating a plant-based diet would not only decrease her husband’s risk of stroke, but also decrease ALL types of chronic disease.
After switching her family of 8 to a plant-based diet and going back to school to become a nutritionist, Ali now helps women who want to eat plant-based and lose weight, go from feeling lost and aimless to having clarity and direction with their diet because they have been able to overcome their emotional triggers.
