Fathers play such an important role in the life of all children, but especially their daughters. Whether he knows it or not, how a father treats his daughter determines if she’s fortified and ready to take on the world, or carrying unhealed wounds affecting all areas of her life as an adult. If your relationship with your father was lacking, less than ideal or has left you wounded, it’s time to start healing.

In this Language of Love Bite, I discuss the father wound and how it can impact a woman, her relationships and life choices. It doesn’t have to have been an abusive relationship. A fathers’ neglect, criticism, indifference or abandonment can also create trauma that all too often goes unaddressed. I’ll also cover the signs of a father wound, and how you can recognize them. Lastly, I’ll help you begin walking down the path toward healing, leading to you becoming the best version of yourself!
