We are all too familiar with the scenario...you are feeling a little nervous going into a social event so you pre-drink or get so drunk at the party that you end up topless dancing on one of the tables with your mate's auntie.

Alcohol it appears gave us confidence. It turned introverts into extroverts, and extroverts into the life and soul of the party.

Is this actually true though?!

Too many of us struggle to find our confidence in our sobriety. As a result, we go out and less and less, become hermits and eventually relapse.

The trick to a long lasting sobriety is rediscovering your confidence. Understanding that it can be rebuilt and making peace with the fact that there are some days that you might just not feel as good as others.
