Our first guest of Season 4 is the incredible Senzela Atmar, founder of Relief Without Borders which focuses on communicating shared human experiences across cultures through portraits, videos, and stories, and engaging people around the world to take part in providing basic goods and necessities to families in need. Senzela discusses her time in a refugee camp and the circumstances of her family coming to the US from Afghanistan in 1997. She also talks about her incredible mother who spent 11 years helping the US military. This conversation covers what we can all do to change the narrative and be better allies, creative ways we can give back, and our responsibility as humans to care about one another.
