What you are most capable of giving is the very same thing that you need the most. Sure, everyone sees you as the happiest, the most loving, the most humorous they can get to be around with, but deep inside, you are a disaster. In this episode, meet Heather, a Hypnosis for permanent weight loss graduate who works in talent development and human resources. As she said jokingly, her job is making sure people enjoy going to work every day. Otherwise, she would be having a bad day.
For as long as she can remember, her life has been a constant on and off diet setup. As she looks back, she's always filled her time with work as she always wants something to occupy her mind. She always has this idea that getting work, having one full-time job and three other part-time ones, is proving her worth.
Yes, she enjoys time with friends, having a good laugh with them, but deep inside, she's a wreck. She ends up sleeping her worries away overnight and wakes up hungover the next day and still facing the same issues she couldn't care to give attention to and deal with herself.
At home, she is someone who has this 'I got it' thing, who's in charge of everything, and any offer of help from family members is just put aside.
She never realized until she joined Hypnosis that the very thing she's projecting are the same things she needs the most. That's why she spends tons of money going to the doctor and maintaining more than one medicine that has not given her relief regarding her stomach issues.
Not until she puts herself in the program that she realizes she deserves to be on the receiving end of help. She keeps looking for validation from others when only she can give it herself.
She has seen progress on this journey, and what used to be a day of taking seven medicines turned to only one, and how she feels better with only that and not complaining about stomach pains.
What's amazing is that she has decided to give up a part-time job, she has let down all walls, she asks for help. Those are just proof that she is on her way to opening the floodgates to freedom and inner peace.
If you resonate with Heather and want the progress for yourself, you can join us, and let's journey together.
"I would say there's hope out there. And there's a moment in your life when you need to realize that this is your moment to invest in yourself. There's hope; there are people out there that feel just like you, and just because nobody in your circles is talking about it doesn't mean they're not in the same boat. Advocate for yourself and sign up. It's a life-changing moment."

Our past has the power of influencing what we feel and what actions we have today. If there is some trauma involved in the past, our subconscious builds an energetic shield around it that prevents us from looking deeply into those thoroughly ingrained emotions inside there. Instead of trying to go towards that emotion and befriend it, we push it away every time. That is why whatever success we have in other areas of life masks the failure in permanently losing weight because there is this part of us that is waiting for care and we have never given full attention to. And what happens instead, we binge on food because that is where we find safety in.
In terms of relationships or the lack of them, we look for means to fill the void for what truly is it that we're longing for.
We don't like feeling sadness, loneliness, and anger in the situation we are in. We only know of one thing, and that is escaping them.
And what escaping means for us is engaging with the feeling until you go down the trap into total despair and never return to your sense of confidence about yourself.
How about seeing yourself getting back to connecting again and getting intimate with your mind and body and not running away from it?
How about this time, get the support you need to face these intimacy fears about yourself and be fully armed with tools to face them and start living life in living color.
There is a way out. You can always start to create new sets of patterns and beliefs that will set you on the road to a lifetime of success and freedom.
"It is a deep, deep level of intimacy to get to know your own feelings, your own thoughts, your own sadness without feeling like you have to completely engage with it and go all the way down the rabbit hole of never being able to come back. It's a real fear, I see that all the time. And get yourself that support to know that there is a way out."

09:41 - Go towards those feelings that we are always trying to push our way and get support
11:39 - What happens if you're going to get out of your comfort zone and retrain yourself to think in a different way?
12:20 - How our emotions are a childhood version of ourselves

Have you looked closely at yourself lately? Don't you feel like everything is fine with your job and your life, but deep inside, there is some misalignment? You love your job, but how come your anxiety is too much to bear. Before you know it, it has completely gotten the life out of you. Emilie Richardson is a registered nurse and a certified health coach. And she started multiple businesses in the health field, drawing from her personal experience and working in the healthcare system, dealing with anxiety health issues, and now helps other nurses lose weight permanently and stop feeling like crap.
In this episode, Emilie shares how her life was, with anxiety attacks getting messier as years go by. As she would describe, her job added up to what was already a very uncomfortable situation she was in.
Being a nurse and assigned a night shift schedule, in one way, contributed to it, but more than that, there was something not making sense.
The moment she digs down inside and starts finding ways to help herself, that's when things slowly brighten up for her and her life.
She started committing to self-care and finding food that helps in addressing her gut problem and anxiety issues. In no time, her fellow nurses noticed a significant transformation in her and kept consulting for advice on gaining back the vitality that is often lost when you are busy caring for others.
How she completely turned around her anxiety struggles and body issues results from how she's found what she completely loves doing.
Listen to her talk about her journey to wellness and wellbeing. And how she advocates investing in yourself. Because as she said, the moment you realize you have so much to give, you've got to pour yourself first.
Only when you have found your truth will you embrace your freedom. And that's so true for her. You've got to listen to her story.
"You are worth it, you are worth investing in yourself, whether that is self-care, or training and programs and everything. You are worth every dime, hour, the minute that you pour into yourself. And it is incredibly important as nurses, for us to take care of ourselves so that we can take care of our patients and our loved ones in the way that they deserve."
- Emilie Richardson
What you will learn from this episode:
01:50 - What life was like before getting out of that dark stage

Why can you not lose weight until now and after grabbing every diet plan you can get out there? What has been going on in your mind all along? What do those inner voices tell you? Early on in life, each of us is made to believe what social media, our friends, and even our family have fed our thoughts with that we take them as something that truly matters. And that contributed much to our beliefs and feelings that have dragged us down way lower into despair. We listen to everything that everyone on every side is saying. We put labels on the food that we eat as good or bad, and they are not. Our minds only create those thoughts. We are pressured to look good because it's the standard society tries to make us believe. That peer pressure is there; that feeling of trying to fit in is so intense that you just fail even how hard you try to control everything about food.
And that's where you blame yourself for being a failure, and that creates a cycle of an off-on relationship with your weight loss. That's creating pressure on you for wanting to be perfect all the time, and when things do not go as expected, everything falls off again. And you get angry at yourself for not living up to everyone's expectations.
That is where you are not getting it right. That internal warzone in your head continues to be there up until we don't look further beyond food and those beliefs that make us stuck to where we are still in our life at this time.
How about listening to your own voice this time and what you really want for yourself? What about facing your fear this time, whatever that is? For all you know, your struggle is not so much about food; it just seems to be. Look at other areas of your life that need your attention, and you are scared to face them.
How about getting to love and accept yourself and your body this time. You may not realize it, but that's what it needs for the longest time. Why not talk to yourself gently, patiently, and allow it to be imperfect as it does at times. Why not look deep into your subconscious this time, and let it be rewired in repetition and emotional mastery?
This is what Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss does -- talking to your inner child to have that lasting inner peace and freedom you deserve even amidst imperfections. Being with a bunch of beautiful people who talk more than just about fitting into their bathing suits and more about intimate and deeper life conversations and situations that truly matter.
If you are ready for that, we are just here, prepared to journey with you on to your path to lasting and true happiness.
"Ain't nobody coming. You're the one that has to come for you. You're in charge of making your days the way that you want to feel. You're in charge of taking your relationship with your food, body, and weight into your own hands."
- Leslie Thornton

10:37 - What difference would that make if you change that inner voice around?

Some people can hold themselves accountable, but some can't. Why can we not pay as much attention to losing weight as we do in other important areas in our life? How can we go further and faster without just not ourselves doing that?
Renee Jones spent 40 years on that Diet Yo-Yo, and in 2012, she finally smashed it by overcoming emotional eating and has maintained her healthy weight since then.
Her mission is to help others who struggle with their weight, who look to food for stress relief and to soothe themselves. No diet, exercise routine, or magic diet potion can counter the effects when we've stuffed down our feelings and followed it with a food chaser. We have to heal our hearts. When we face our stuff, we no longer need to stuff our faces.
With a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Clinical Residency, she utilizes traditional and contemporary models as well as relaxation and horse-assisted methods to help her clients free themselves by addressing emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. In 2011, she opened an international private practice in counseling, serving clients and colleagues in the U. S., United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, India, Vietnam, South Africa, Romania, Australia, and New Zealand.
In this episode, Renee shares how she had all this emotional baggage she carried with her, having this belief, and this feeling of not being acceptable, being too much, or not good enough.
How she has not believed in herself for so long, thinking she's never attractive and skinny enough to attract anyone, was such an eye-opener for her the moment she knew she needed to change.
Find out how travel and life experiences help you to look beyond yourself and your focus on food.
She actually found an acronym for questions she needed to ask herself to get past her food dilemma, and this has worked for her. Find out about it; it might help you, too.
When you feel like your cravings win over you, she has the best solution to that without depriving yourself but still having an awareness of trusting your food decision.
Often, we look for solutions that give us fast results, but when it comes to emotional mastery why should we give it more time and practice it needs just like other areas of our life?
The memory we attach to food gives an insight into our focus on it. Learn what it is, recognize it, understand it and deal with it.
There has to be healing in every transformation before the total turnaround, and it's important to allow yourself to go through it to move ahead.
There is no one-solution-fits-all; that's why you need to find out what works for you.
Staying on your track to reach your goal is not easy; that's why Renee suggests that if you can't hold yourself accountable, find someone else to do that for you.
Hence, finding a community that understands your journey and has your back every step of the way is a big help.
"I had to face my stuff. So I would no longer need to stuff my face for comfort."

This Bariatric surgeon's story tells about why people fall off the track in their weight loss resonates truly with what the Hypnosis program is all about. Many kept going back to her and confided in how they've gained weight after surgery. What is actually lacking here is that they lack integrity in other areas of their lives. The reason why we need these four pillars of permanent weight transformation for weight loss to happen. Once other areas of your life are not in sync, then the medical aspect would manifest it. These three other pillars: emotional, environmental, and mental should be taken care of because, surely, when you are down on these aspects, most likely your medical [the fourth pillar] result would show it. Thus, likely resulting in stress and making it evident in your weight gain. Just like putting off those unwanted pounds, you need to love and respect your body first, understand it; then weight loss happens. It's about doing what you love doing for yourself and being completely present at the moment. Things will never work if you always mind what others want for you. It has to be what you want for yourself. We need to focus on what is good for us and not what they think is good for us. Living life on your terms and not others should be what you set out to fulfill. Know what you want and take action on it, so you get to the road of inner peace and freedom. "We need to learn how to love and accept our bodies today. And then we can lose weight, even though we have all the evidence that we're unhealthy, that we're fat, that we're failing at life." - Leslie Thornton
What you will learn from this episode:
01:46 - A Bariatric surgeon's story that validates Hypnosis' program
02:39 - Four pillars of transformation of actual permanent weight loss
04:54 - Why the medical aspect is the last one to manifest when all the other three are neglected
06:31 - How do these three other pillars relate to Leslie's leaving the nursing profession, and what we can take away from that
06:51 - Foremost that we need to do to lose weight even if all the evidence is there
07:25 - Do the thing you love, and learn how to communicate a new boundary with your family

Are you having weight problems making you resort to all diets available out there? Are your hormones giving you a hard time losing weight? Even though you try to jump on every available diet trend around, nothing works unless you change within. How do you lose weight without even trying to?
Carmen Leonard, a Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss graduate, talks about her body image struggle, losing weight, and health issues.
She used to hate her body for not looking the ideal way it should be, faulting it for her weight not coming off.
Not until she met Leslie and started the Hypnosis program did she realize how grateful she is for the body she has as it survived the many health issues she went through.
Find out why her relationship with her daughter was rekindled and she becomes more appreciative of her husband.
She realized that your mental and physical health are two separate ones; you need to take care of each of them
More than anything else, it is not about your diet; it is more about taking care of yourself and your self-esteem.
If you think you are alone in your struggle, Carmen thought the same thing before, but you are not.

Do you really think you can do it alone? In her experience, what helped Leslie create the level of success she enjoys now in terms of happiness and inner peace is that she had like-minded people around her to do it together with. All alone by yourself, you falter, and at times lose the resolve to continue the journey. When you have all others to have your backing and supporting you, you can always get guided to continue reaching for your goal. It's harder to do things on your own, but when done with others who are just as determined and share the same fate you have, you become collaborative. Besides, having someone and a community to hold you accountable for the success you set for yourself makes it all worth it. No one who has reached a level of success in any aspect of their life does it alone. If you want a faster route for a lasting transformation, it's best to do it with a community. Then, you vibrate in the same wavelength of vibration money and energy as the rest of them. "There is nothing that is more healing than knowing that you are not alone on your path." - Leslie Thornton
