Neil has done the race almost every year since it started, I’ve done it 5 times and Eric did it last year for the first time. Network”, tells us about surviving the Boston Marathon bombing incident- being within a few feet of the second bomb he lost his right leg above the knee , and his other leg was severely damaged . He was in the hospital for over 100 days, and was in and out for the next 3 years. Since then, he has finished 8 marathons hand cycling. He has become a Mentor, motivational speaker, and the Founder of the “reMARCable”nonprofit organization, too. He brought a very positive message to the episode, you don’t want to miss.

On this Episode , Laura and Kevin Tift tell us about the “ThunderDash 5K” , which is an OCR / Mudrun that they have put on for the past 10 years. The race is located in Texas, just a 30 min drive from San Antonio, that takes place on September 28th. The race has a lot of big obstacles , mud, and gnarly terrain. They also have a Fitness challenge 5k option, no mud , no obstacles just a 5k trail run with workout stations every half mile- includes a race T-shirt, free beer , and cool custom rock quarry finish medal!

On this Episode, we recap the “Black Mountain Monster Ultra” with Brian Beal and Michael Roberson . Brian and, Michael’s wife Mary, were 1st and 2nd Overall! We also recap the “Spartan Montana Ultra” with Tim Mazur. Due to weather they had to make the race into a 4 lap Ultra instead of the traditional 2 laps.
