September 24, 2020EP 20 - Jen - 3 Pregnancies & Births, Doula, Hospital Birth, Arrival en route to Hospital & HomebirthIn this episode I chat to Jen about her three pregnancies & births. Jen decided to employ a doula on her first pregnancy and she proved to be an amazing support. She helped prepare them for the birth and held their space within the hospital allowing Jen to have that much needed quiet time to really tap into her final stages of labour. She was such an anchor throughout and importantly helped Jen & Mark process the birth which wasn't what they had expected or hoped for. She then chats to us about Juno's birth which was a swift to say the least. Juno was born on the M50 but I will say no more and let Jen tell you all the gorgeous details Her third birth was a homebirth, something, Jen has desired from the start of her pregnancy journey with her first baby. A few bumps in the road in her final weeks may have made it difficult to settle into a HB state of mind but the day of Bills birth was a gorgeous affair. I played it back multiple times. As with all of the stories I hear, I had goosebumps and a smile on my face listening back to Jen's story. I know you will too! September 04, 2020EP 15 - Rana -3 Pregnancies & Births, Unsuccessful Epidural, Positive BirthIn the next episode I chat to Rana who talks me through her 3 pregnancies & births Rana gave birth to her first son in Turkey where the culture is C-section strong which wasn't necessarily her preference. Men aren't allowed into the hospital so she laboured and birthed alone after chosing to go with an epidural which failed to take. Unfortunately, this was the case on her second labour too. .Rana felt her level of knowledge and preparation wasn't where it needed to be in order to achieve the natural, medication free birth she desired on her third birth. So, as a team, Rana and her husband prepared with military prescision, ensuring he could be her voice when she needed. He was fully informed of her preferences, what Q's to ask if intervention was needed and he felt confident to say no if needed. Preparation as a couple is key and she discusses this further in the episode. EnjoyProduced & edited by Corah Gernon at She Talks ProductionsShow Your SupportBuy Me A CoffeePatreon Hosted on Acast.
