Today we are going to be talking about self love as an ongoing evolution and the hypocrisy of the body positivity movement. Here's the deal: We aren't meant to stay the same. Self love doesn't mean staying the same. Self love is not this all or nothing concept. It's actually quite the opposite. Unconditional self love is the not so glamorous stuff that magazines and influencers never talk about. The body positivity movement has gaslighted so many people into thinking they don't need to work on themselves or that it is wrong to WANT to change your body. That is some toxic ass behavior right there and it needs to stop.

Let's talk about how to get out of a weight loss slump and what that really means. The weight loss journey is about so much more than just losing the weight by a specific date.
It's about tackling your demons and learning how to regulate and manage your emotions so that you can stop using food to deal with your life. I'd much rather take the time to do that than to try another gimmick diet out of desperation.
The gimmicks will fade. Your emotions will be with you until the day you die. You HAVE to learn how to manage your emotions so that you can lose the emotional weight that's holding you back form the life you deserve.
If you want to lose weight for the last time, you have to also take the time to become self-aware, recognize the hard emotions, and learn how to process them. That means your weight loss may not happen as "fast" as you would like and that is OK!

Wanna know how to lose your weight for the last time and stop the yo-yo diet/body hate shame cycle? Self love is the missing piece that diets don't teach you. You've been conditioned to hate yourself if you're overweight. You've been conditioned that the only path to happiness is the BS before and after weight loss story. You've created so many BS rules that you have to hustle and hate your way down the scale. So, when ever you tell yourself you're going to "start over" on Monday, you do a bunch of stuff you hate because you want a quick fix because you're so uncomfortable in your skin.
Self love isn't the reward at the end when you get to your goal weight. It's HOW you get to you goal weight. In this Irresistible You podcast episode, I'm breaking down the TRUTH what self-love really looks like during a weight loss journey and it's not about affirmations and bath bombs.
