One of the biggest barriers for getting into Harvard University for students who make the cut is falling by the wayside.

The prestigious IVY League school announced plans Monday to make tuition free for any student whose family makes $200,000 or less per year. The changes will go into effect at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.

滑手機不止浪費時間，甚至可能讓腦部機制產生質變?! 牛津大學出版社選出『腦腐 brain rot』作為 2024代表字，指的是「一個人的心理或智力狀態出現惡化徵兆，尤其是在過量吸收瑣碎、缺乏挑戰性內容後，所引發的現象」，福斯新聞網訪問腦部神經科學家，也提出類似的看法。

Oxford University Press has chosen "brain rot" as its word of the year.

Some experts believe that constant, endless scrolling of social media and other online content is doing exactly that – rotting our brains.

A certain part of the brain, called the habenula, is responsible for getting stuck in endless scrolling.

This is how social media addictions can form as this part of the brain can make it "very painful" to stop scrolling.

This can result in a "dangerous" loss of motivation, a neuroscientist warned.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for avoiding brain rot. The key is learning what works best for the individual, which involves "tweaking and tinkering and adjusting as you go."

The biggest and most powerful rocket ever built took to the skies again. And this time, it came back.

SpaceX launched its 400-foot-tall (122 meters) Starship vehicle for the fifth time ever today (Oct. 13), sending the giant rocket aloft from its Starbase site in South Texas at 8:25 am.

Starship is seen by many as the best option for interplanetary travel between Earth and Mars and being able to reuse components, such as the boosters, is essential for this to occur.

And that's exactly what happened. About seven minutes after liftoff, SpaceX executed what appeared to be a bull's-eye landing, hovering near the launch tower as the tower captured it with the "chopstick" arms in a bold and unprecedented maneuver.

Coldplay tickets for $11,000? Uproar in India after tickets sold out in minutes and resold for outrageously high prices

Fans eagerly awaiting the return of Coldplay to India were shocked to find tickets being resold online for as much as $11,000, prompting police to seek a statement from the CEO of the shows’ vendor over allegations of fraud.

Tickets were scheduled to go on sale by the official vendor, BookMyShow (BMS), at 12 p.m. local time on September 22. But for many users, the website and app crashed amid the demand.

Within minutes, the tickets were sold out and reappeared on other platforms for as much as 960,000 rupees ($11,458), sparking anger over the purchase process and the suspected use of bots to scoop up seats.

Amit Vyas, a lawyer and founding partner of Mumbai law firm Vertices Partners, filed a complaint with police, alleging the online ticketing platform made tickets available to scalpers and third-party websites for resale on the black market.
