Last week I shared with you some of the key successes when it comes to running masterminds and today, I run through some of the biggest mistakes that I often see. I also get personal and share mistakes I’ve made myself when running my first masterminds, and the lessons I’ve learnt along the way.
It’s such an exciting adventure to create your own mastermind and we want to do the best possible job at creating an incredible experience for our clients. However, we often strive a little too much to over-deliver. Don’t get me wrong - I’m all for delivering immense value to clients in any kind of experience. However, packing too many things into your mastermind is going to leave your clients exhausted and unsure where to spend their time and attention.
I talk through my own experience with over-delivering and invite you to think about the experience you’re creating. What will help get your client the best results?
As high performers, we often struggle to accept when things go wrong. I personally would beat myself up when things didn’t go to plan. But adopting a mindset of knowing that there are some things you just can’t control will give you the confidence to push through challenges and do your best to improve the things you can control.
Running a mastermind requires being organised and a certain amount of pre-planning. Does it mean you have to have everything completely mapped out before you start? Absolutely not - I give some practical advice around prepping for your mastermind, and encourage you to begin thinking about the systems and processes you need to set up and run it.
I know exactly what it feels like to just be a number within a mastermind - not feeling cared for or really supported as a client. I would never wish for my clients to feel this way, and I know you wouldn’t either. I speak about creating an experience that starts and ends with you caring about the human, and how this will have people coming back to learn from you and continue to invest in you.
