Our goal as parents is to raise children that can go out into the world and be successful, independent, and self-sufficient adults. But in order for this to happen, parents need to allow their children to learn the vital skill of self-advocating when they are still living at home.
Coach Daelene Byam is on the podcast talking about how parents can teach their children to advocate for themselves by learning how to manage their emotions as well as deal well with failure. Daelene believes the home is where these skills are taught the most effectively as parents allow their children to be independent as well as show them how to be emotionally resilient and how to deal with failure by mirroring it for them.
If you have a teen that you feel could use some help learning to self-advocate, be sure to reach out to Daelene and let her guide you in this process.

We often define a relationship as a connection between two people but Coach Michele Gardemann is talking today about how we have relationships with everything around us and it is in the recognition of the relationship we have with all things that we become more like our Heavenly Parents. Michele emphasizes that it is us, through our thoughts about the people and things around us that can control and create the relationships we want to have. We do not need to wait and rely on others or circumstances outside of us to be or do certain things in order to define how we feel about our relationship to that person or thing. It is when we can do this that we will start having amazing relationships.
Michele works a lot on relationships with wives of bishops so she knows that these women can have a great relationship with their husbands even though their husbands may be gone a lot and not as present as they would like them to be. If you are a bishop's wife and would like to have a better relationship with your husband, let Michele help you do this.

We live in a world that is fast paced and has rules as to how things should operate and what is and isn't acceptable. If you are neurotypical you can easily fit into this world, but if you are neurodivergent, fitting in can be difficult. The same holds true for inside the Church. We have certain ways of operating and how we like to do things. Those who are neurodivergent can find this difficult and can often be labeled as being less faithful.
Coach Kamden Hainsworth is on the podcast today talking about what it's like to be neurodivergent by having ADHD in the world and in the Church and how those who are neurodivergent or those who work with them can learn to support them so that they excel in the Church. Kamden has a great grasp of this subject and does a phenomenal job explaining what it's like to have ADHD in the Church and how to excel despite it by learning to build the correct structures into one's life. If you or someone you know struggles with ADHD and would like help with Kamden, please reach out to her. She will be able to help you excel in ways you never thought possible.

Goals are great things to set but all too often we let our goals be another area that we beat ourselves up and think we aren't good enough because we aren't accomplishing the goals fast enough or well enough. Coach Amber Winn has come up with a term she calls "Micro Focused Moments" where she helps her clients look for the small wins and accomplishments that are achieved everyday by stopping to recognize them. She feels it's so important to do this because in the recognition of the daily wins that is when we will reach the overall goal we originally set out to accomplish.
This is a great episode if you feel like you are moving forward in your goals and you need a shift in the way you think about goals and accomplishing them. If you'd like more insight on this matter, please reach out to Amber.
