  • 29 - Perfume Collecting

This week is all about collecting. Why? What? How? and lot’s of other questions of tangential relevance. We discuss perfume collecting from as many angles as we can possibly think and unleash upon the world clear evidence of our neurosis. Come along.

You can contact us via email at [email protected] or via Instagram:

    James: houdini_sotd

    Ben: talking_scents

    Fliss: fliss_sniffs_stuff

During the show we may mention perfumes that were sent to us for review. We will, at all times, be completely transparent about this when it is the case and I hope you'll come to trust us enough to see that whatever the method of acquisition, we will always speak our own minds about said perfume and/or house.

  • 28 - Amouage Exceptional Extraits

This week we are taking a close look at the Amouage Exceptional Extraits collection. Are Amouage’s hyper-oil remakes of some of their old classics a hype train worth riding into the sunset, or a cynical rehash designed to rinse the diehard fans of their cold, hard cash? This week you can also find out which one of the gang likes to wear thigh high boots whilst shearing sheep and where you need to go to get hold of such material.

  • 27 - Are we in a Perfume Golden Age?

This week we have a little look at the world around us and take on the question, are we living in a perfume Golden Age? With such an abundance of choice from such a diverse range of creatives, are we spoiled for choice, or is there really just an endless river of dross flowing through our nostrils, drowning us in a mountain of influencers' broken dreams? We also catch up with what we’ve been wearing as usual, including a little bit of ol’ Franky, some geranium numbers and a perfume that smells like gasoline and asphalt.

  • 26 - Strangelove Perfumes

The Les O's are back for another year and another season! This episode we've got the new season bounce, giving it high energy and taking the time to dig into a few perfumes, Chen Noir by Bedeaux and Des Cendres by Les Abstraites feature in the first half and then we dig in for a sniff-a-long of the Strangelove discovery set, a group of perfumes which are, if nothing else, incredibly interesting.

  • BONUS - A Not So Full, Full Fourteen

Whilst we're all away on holiday here in the Les Oderants HQ, James is demonstrating how he is a true creature of habit, crawling the walls looking for people to listen to his full fourteen. So to that end, here is the full fourteen for Dec/Jan to tide you over until we all return. Cheers.

  • 25 - Festive Jambaroo

In this episode we look back on a fantastically fragrant year of podcasting. We reminisce on our favourite rants, answer James’s quiz questions and pick our top fragrance release of the year. It all sounds very organised when you put it like that, but don’t expect too much, it is a Jambaroo, after all. We’ll be back in the new year, but until then, thanks for listening this year and Happy Holidays everyone.

  • 23 - Archetypal Perfumes (Part 1)

This week we are discussing the archetypal perfume from several genres which means that naturally, our choices almost never align with one single perfume, completely going against the episodes topic. But that's why we're mavericks. Much like one of Dan's favourite perfumers who get's probably the one and only ever mention in Les Oderants history. Also, don't tell Fliss what to do, especially not if it involves a Triathlon. Perfumes are definitely not her real dad.

  • 22 - House Cup: Chanel

This week we're digging into another house to decide what is their absolute, most important perfume of all time. Only it's Chanel, so there can be only one answer. Or maybe four? Well Dan's officiating, so there is only one, but it's not the right one. Most importantly, what does Mavis down at the Chanel counter think?

  • 21 - Trick or Treat

For Halloween we are having a little trick or treat party of our own. We each sent a perfume labelled trick and another labelled treat and to absolutely nobody's surprise, we talk a lot about them. There’s also more talk about Beaufort, much to Dans CHAGRIN, James reads his ode to Jezza and Black Tie and the whole crew talk about their utter hatred for Erba Pura.

  • 20 - Leaf Droppers

This week we delve into the pits of self loathing and discuss our top 10 fall favourites. Well, sort of. We discuss Dan's expensive taste in autumn perfume, James's definitive taste in autumn perfume, Fliss's very pleasant taste in Autumn perfume and Ben's awful taste in perfume generally. We also discuss whether or not Le Lion bears a passing resemblance to Hulk Hogan or Shalimar, or both and whether or not one should place their feet upon the hearth in mid-winter.
