Yes, it’s here. Episode 69! For this one, the boyz had to get a huge guest and we came through for you with Dominic Schlueter, the host of “The Running Effect” podcast.
Dominic is an extremely impressive 19 year old. In 8th grade, he first thought of creating “The Running Effect,” and by the time he finished high school had established himself as a very serious player in the running content scene. He has built a massive following not only on his podcast, but also on social media. He has partnered with major running brands such as Brooks and Maurten, and he also promotes different meets and running events across the country.
We talked about the creation of the podcast, some of his most memorable interviews, and what’s next for Dominic. We also discussed his own running journey and got to learn a lot about his philosophy on life that has driven him to be so successful at such an early age.
Right when we hopped on and started chatting before we hit record we knew this would be an awesome episode, and it truly was. Enjoy!

On this episode, the boyz had on special guest Tracy Edgerton! Tracy is a Louisville-based runner who co-founded KorfEdge Running Group with Mike Korfhage! For context, this is the group the boyz meet with on Saturdays for long run.
Tracy has been running for a long time and his motto is “Encourage and Inspire.” He has coached athletes of all ages in the Louisville area and if he isn’t in a race he is always there cheering on his friends. The Louisville running community wouldn’t be as great as it is now without Tracy!
Tracy is a Boston qualifier and ran the race for the first time in the Fall of 2021. He is currently 39 states in on his journey to finish a marathon in all 50 states!
Tracy has a contagious positive attitude and wisdom for runners of all ages and ability levels. We really enjoyed this one and think you will too!

On this episode, the boyz had on special guest Eric “1:12” Floberg, fresh off his big half-marathon PR. We get the full race breakdown for you + what this means going forward with Chicago Marathon 5 weeks out.
If you have been watching Floberg’s Chicago sub-2:32 series on YouTube, you know there have been some big highs and lows in his build so far. We discussed some of those highs and lows in detail on this episode as well and hope that the people listening can relate to alot of these moments like we did.
We finished the pod off with our classic rapid fires, but Floberg answered the last question with a really thoughtful answer that is previewed in the intro and we highly recommend you listen closely to that as it is so good.
Eric has become such a great friend, supporter, and advisor to our pod and we can’t thank him enough for hopping on with us again. Enjoy!

This was Nico’s FIRST PODCAST! We had an absolute blast recording with him, he’s a super fun and genuine guy and we can’t thank him enough for coming on. Enjoy!
In this episode, the boyz give training updates on their Chicago Marathon blocks and also talk about the future of Life In Stride!
