On this episode, the boys had on special guest Alex Schenk! Alex is a teacher and the Head Cross-Country/Track coach at Collegiate School in St. Louis.

In 2022, a shooting took place at the school and the cross-country coach at the time passed away during the event. Alex was a teacher at the school and shortly after stepped into the coaching role for this team that was devastated after losing their coach.

Alex has done an amazing job with this team from 2022 to current. He has grown the team in size from just 5 runners at times to around 25, and they have an amazing team culture. This year, the team qualified for their first state meet in school history, a huge accomplishment for the program. Not only that - they finished 4th place and came home with a trophy!

Who led the team to the podium finish? The freshmen (now seniors) who experienced the tragedy of losing their coach in 2022.

On this episode, the boys had on special guest Gabe Multer! Gabe is the Founder and CEO of Carbs Fuel. As you know - the boys have been using Carbs Fuel heavily in training and racing lately - so we went to the source to learn all about it!

Gabe told us the idea for the brand came to him through frustration in his own training and racing. He wanted to take high amounts of carbs while cycling, but didn't want to have to pack so many gels on him always. Carbs Fuel gels are 50g of carbs per gel (although they did create mini ones if you prefer 25g) - which is one of the main reasons why we love them so much. We only have to take 4-5 gels with us in a marathon instead of packing 8-10!

Gabe has a great sense of humor - showing us the hilarious/hidden Carbs Fuel merch online was so funny and we highly recommend watching the video version of this podcast during that part.

On this episode, the boys had on special guest Gabi Rooker! Gabi is a 2:24 marathoner and just finished 9th at the Chicago Marathon.

Gabi had a unique route to professional running. She was a NCAA champion gymnast, and her first marathon was in 2021, where she ran a 2:56 at Grandma's Marathon.

In 2022, also at Grandma's, she ran 2:34 and qualified for the Olympic Trials. In 2023, she ran 2:24 at Chicago and ended up signing a Nike contract before the 2024 Olympic Trials.

We chatted about Gabi's quick rise in the professional ranks, her build to Chicago and the race itself, and what's next for her!

On this episode, the boys recapped Indianapolis Monumental Marathon weekend! What an amazing weekend it was - we are all filled with so much gratitude. Being at a marathon with all our friends and so much of the Life In Stride team was truly special. The running community is filled with so many inspiring and positive individuals.

We talked about the shakeout (thank you for coming and thank you Swiftwick, what an awesome turnout!), team dinner, race morning, the race itself, post-race, and more!

Danny had some stomach issues and looking back maybe went out a touch too hot the first half and finished with a 2:48. Him and Chris shared some really fun miles together through the first half of the race! Chris paced the 2:40 group to the finish and is feeling good about his fitness going into Houston Marathon. Scotty was the best spectator on course by far - stay tuned for more of that content.

On this episode, the boys had on special guest Natosha Rogers! Natosha just came off an amazing Chicago Marathon, where she ran a PR of 2:23 and was the top American woman!

Most of Natosha's running career has been on the track - this is just her 3rd marathon. After a tough debut at the 2024 Trials, she has had back-to-back successful marathons! We talked about her build, coaching change and the race itself.

Natosha has a slightly different training method than others where she uses a lot of cross-training, and she also makes sure she lives a balanced life where she finds time to do other things she enjoys outside of running. This was a really fun episode, we will definitely have Natosha back soon!

On this episode, Chris and guest host Ben Felton recapped the women's and men's NYC Marathon elite field races!

On the women's side, we saw a legendary duel between rivals Sharon Lokedi and Hellen Obiri through Central Park - where Hellen came out on top with a quick last couple kilometers! She not only won the race, but set the course record and was the first woman under 2:20 in NYC Marathon history.

American Fiona O'Keeffe ran a great race, putting herself in it in the late stages of the race to finish 4th overall and top American.

On the men's side, we saw an epic battle between Benson Kipruto and Alexander Mutiso, where Mutiso nearly caught Kipruto at the line to steal the race! Kipruto ended up hanging on to win in 2:08.

Brit Patrick Dever had an outstanding performance in 4th, while surprise American Joel Reichow got top American honors in 6th in 2:09. A couple other notable Americans we chatted about were Charles Hicks in 7th and Joe Klecker in 10th!

At the beginning of the episode we also gave some training updates for ourselves (Chris is trying to get Ben to run Houston Marathon with him).

On this episode, the boys had back on the man, the myth, the legend: Hugo Fry. Hugo has been a BUSY man! He is currently in Austin, TX getting ready to do the overnight BPN 50 miler (he has a very good shot at winning the race!).

Hugo also told us he has gone full-time doing content as he has had continued success on socials! If you don't follow him on Instagram, he is one of the funniest accounts you will find, link below. He recently ran 2:22 at the Berlin Marathon and also won a 5-day ultramarathon stage race in the Jordan desert.

We joke that Hugo could be our 4th co-host, episodes with him are more like banter with the boys than interviews! There is some hilarious conversation in here about his experience in Austin, TX compared to living in London.
