In this episode of Live Foreverish, Dr. Mike and Dr. Crystal welcome Harvard researcher Dr. Charles Serhan to discuss resolution medicine, a groundbreaking field focused on activating the body's natural inflammation-resolving mechanisms. Dr. Serhan explains how specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs), derived from omega-3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA, actively resolve inflammation rather than simply suppressing it. This show offers promising new strategies for treating chronic inflammatory diseases. #LELEARN #EDULFsocial

In this episode of Live Foreverish, Dr. Mike and Dr. Crystal explore three health "ins" and one "out." They discuss curcumin's anti-inflammatory benefits for benign prostatic hyperplasia, CoQ10's role in improving cholesterol, blood sugar, and energy metabolism in metabolic disorders, and bone broth's nutritional value for gut health. For the "out," they warn against PFAS exposure during pregnancy, linking it to adverse fetal development, and offer practical tips to minimize exposure through water filtration and avoiding certain cookware and food packaging. #LELEARN #EDULFsocial

In this episode of Live Foreverish, Dr. Mike and Dr. Crystal provide a comprehensive guide to managing chronic bloating. They walk listeners through a structured approach: first identifying whether bloating accompanies changes in bowel habits, then addressing specific causes. For diarrhea-related bloating, they discuss celiac disease, SIBO, peppermint oil, and targeted probiotics. For constipation, they recommend fiber-rich foods, hydration, magnesium, and vitamin C. When no bowel changes are present, they suggest tracking trigger foods and using digestive supports like ginger, fennel, and artichokes. They also highlight key warning signs requiring medical attention. #LELEARN #EDULFsocial
