Reignite your libido from the inside out—no shame, no guesswork. In this episode of Peptides and Longevity, Dr. Valerie Phillips joins us to uncover what really drives desire. She shares how rebalancing your hormones, optimizing sleep, calming stress, and even healing your gut and pelvic floor can reignite libido, naming certain peptides may be the missing piece to bringing your passion back.
Loss of desire isn’t a life sentence—it’s your body’s way of asking for balance. In this episode of Peptides and Longevity, Dr. Valerie Phillips reveals how she helps women reignite passion by looking beyond hormones to the deeper story unfolding inside the body. She explores what happens when communication between mind, metabolism, and mood breaks down—and how restoring that dialogue can transform not only energy and confidence, but connection itself.
Tune in to hear what most people overlook when libido fades: subtle shifts in stress chemistry, sleep cycles, gut health, and emotional health that quietly drain vitality. Dr. Phillips shares how small, strategic adjustments can unlock a natural return of desire, showing that when your body feels safe, nourished, and rested, passion often follows. The takeaway: it’s not about chasing youth—it’s about rediscovering the spark that balance brings naturally.
Valerie Phillips, ND (Dr. Val) is a native Angelino who started studying the medical arts as a teenager in Magnet School. She studied Biochemistry at U.C. Davis, and subsequently pursued research in Neuro-Pathology at U.C. San Francisco. She also volunteered at the Berkeley Free Clinic and at the Native American Health Center in San Francisco, and became a “lay healthcare worker,” delivering limited primary care services to the underserved populations of the San Francisco Bay area. Based on this experience, Dr. Val decided to pursue her long term interest in eastern and alternative forms of Medicine by pursuing a Naturopathic Medical degree at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA. The education was the perfect blend of western scientific medical thought combined with herbal traditions from across the globe, nutrition, physical medicine and many more disciplines designed to train physicians to see all the aspects of the human body as a holistic unit.
