In this episode, you'll hear Heidi describe two specific times her cycle has been thrown off in the past year: one was for a family reunion and the other spending a whole Saturday with friends.Â
She shares her theory that this happens when one woman spends an extended period of time with a different woman (or group of women) that she hasn't been around recently.
Heid shares her Emergency Plan (E-Mode) for when PMDD symptoms hit at an unexpected time.
E-Mode: 4 Do's, 1 Don't
1- Recognize your PMDD symptoms are likely active
2- Take 3 deep breaths
3- Do one thing for yourself. (Or plan it.)
4- Decide next steps
Don't: No self reflection or self coaching during this time

Hi! In this episode we review things we've covered so far on this podcast and focus on 7 take aways.
7 Take Aways:
1. PMDD manifests with severe PMS symptoms
2. The National Institute of Health estimates 5-8% of women that experience a menstrual cycle have PMDD.
3. PMDD is unique primarily because of the timing of the symptoms and the severity of the symptoms.
4. Women with PMDD experience depression.
5. Tracking can help.
6. There are various treatment approaches... an SSRI is a common one.
7. There is hope!
