This week on the pod we talk boundaries. We have come to the conclusion that this is THE KEY to managing stress, overwhelm and then reaching for the f*** it button with a glass of wine. So how do we say no? How do we protect ourselves from burnout in this modern world? - It’s not easy, for many of us it’s challenging a lifetime of people pleasing. Combined for us being “modern mother’s” we have been given a seat at the table in a professional sense yet the infrastructure and support for women to be able to have a career & be a parent is still far from being equal, it won’t be will it until women actually head up companies rather than still banging on that glass ceiling - So what this means is we are micro managing our lives, we have adapted careers around motherhood, we are on the brink of burnout constantly, with the emotional baggage of “shoulds” So being able to reassess what we have put on our plate is essential - asking ourselves the uncomfortable question am I being a martyr here or is this necessary? What are my needs? What has to be done, what can wait? Believing that real friends don’t mind when you cancel, moving away from the drama triangle and applying our oxygen
