  • Celebrity, Fame, and Feminism with Gina Barreca

For Women’s History Month, Dr. Dan speaks to bestselling author, humorist, and feminist icon Gina Barreca about famous women in history and why these women’s voices and stories matter now more than ever. Their conversation is impactful and thought-provoking whether Dan and Gina are talking about Taylor Swift, Joan Rivers, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Fannie Brice, or Patti LaBelle – all featured in her new book Fast Famous Women – because these women changed history and challenged the patriarchy.

With passion and purpose, Dan and Gina cover urgent 2025 topics including listening to women, believing women, and respecting women. They discuss power dynamics, the two “f” words (feminism and fear), and why Gina’s 4-volume Fast Women series is hopeful, timely, and necessary reading.

Have you ever chased someone who wasn’t right for you?

They dive into why relying too much on dating apps can lead to burnout, how the fear of rejection holds you back, and why being single is often better than staying in the wrong relationship.

  • Divergent Nation with Jonathan Mooney

    *Trigger warning: mention of suicide

Dan reunites with Jonathan Mooney, an award-winning writer, activist, and friend. Their conversation is an intensely personal and rich discussion about purpose, service, disability, difference, and ultimately, humanity.

Jonathan is a Neurodiversity and Disability Advocate with dyslexia and ADHD who did not learn to read until he was twelve years old. He shares intimate stories about his parents, his challenges, and his deep purpose to change the world’s view of differences. Dan and Jonathan challenge us all to collectively work towards equity by focusing on asking “What is right with you?” and not “What is wrong with you?” because every individual has value intrinsically. Every. Single. Human.

An activist and writer, Jonathan aims to shift cultural perceptions of neurodivergence and disability away from the traditional pathology model and towards a social justice-centric model that embraces different experiences across the human continuum. Jonathan has spent his professional career as a social entrepreneur helping improve the lives of marginalized groups. At Brown University, he co-founded Project Eye-To-Eye, a non-profit advocacy organization for students with learning differences and currently, he is co-founder of The Divergent Fund, a venture philanthropy investing in high-impact social ventures that support and empower neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Introducing Eat your way to better gynecological health | Dr. Jennifer Ashton & Prof. Sarah Berry from ZOE Science & Nutrition.

Follow the show: ZOE Science & Nutrition

A good gynecologist is like a detective. She gathers evidence to diagnose infections. She uncovers the truth behind stages like puberty, pregnancy and perimenopause. Yet many women still feel that their physiology is a mystery.

What if a clue to that mystery hides in our diet? Similar to the gut, certain foods make the vaginal microbiome thrive. New research suggests that the right diet could alleviate symptoms of the most common gynecological diseases.

Dr Jennifer Ashton is former Chief Medical Correspondent at ABC News and is a double-board certified OBGYN. She joins us today to discuss ‘nutritional gynecology’, a term she coined after realizing multiple women’s health issues have a direct relationship to nutrition.

Alongside Jen is King’s College London professor and ZOE’s Chief Scientist Sarah Berry. Sarah shines light on the growing evidence of the role of nutrition in offsetting uncomfortable, and sometimes dangerous, symptoms of menopause.

  • Courage, Giraffes, and Heroes with Ann Medlock

Dr. Dan interviews the astonishing activist, author, TEDx speaker, and social entrepreneur Ann Medlock. An editor, speaker, educator and Founder of the Giraffe Heroes Project, Ann lives fully every single day grounding herself in Ram Daas’ “be here now”  and does so in her signature constantly moving pace. Ann and Dan discuss living with courage, listening to “the force” (#StarWars), embracing flow state, and as Gloria Steinam said about her poetry “...turning poetry into real life, and real life into poetry."

This lively, alive conversation reminds us that we have a finite time in this world so let’s embrace all there is to see, do, and learn. Ann tells us to live fearlessly and intentionally at 20, 30, 50, 70, or almost 92 (like Ann) and always “do the next right thing.”
