This is combining Facebook Lead Ads, our Facebook Ad Funnel and Email Marketing and using Facebook Ads to collect email addresses. 

Email addresses are so important because… 

• Facebook can go down 
• Your Facebook and Instagram can be deleted 
• Your ad account can be banned 
• You could be banned 

We have no control over facebook at all - they are a company with little to no transparency on how they operate, and if you do get your account banned, it is a mission to get it back! 

So why is a Facebook Ads agency talking about email marketing…

In today’s episode, we’re going to talk about how to recession-proof your business. The reason why I wanted to do this episode is because I went to a conference a couple of weeks ago and almost everyone was talking about this upcoming recession and was freaking out about it. So I thought I should do an episode about what I think of recession, what you can do to prepare, and my tips on how to deal with it.

In our agency each month, we deep-dive into the trends that are happening across the board with our clients and also in eCommerce to see what’s up, what’s down, how our clients individually compare to our clients collectively and within the industry.

What’s really interesting is that within September and October trends, we can see that a lot of online stores are 30%-50% down from the previous year. This isn’t surprising considering we had the COVID eCommerce boom where pretty much anyone who sold anything online could do it without any effort, and that’s coming to an end. 

We’re potentially headed into an economic downturn. But interestingly, brands that are seen as essentials such as baby items, have actually seen an increase of 30%-50% year on year. So have a look at the trends and the numbers. Take the emotion out of it and just look at the data.

Having said that, let’s get into my tips on how to recession-proof your online store!
