MINI PODCAST: Bleeding everyday for a month, why there’s no top supplement for PCOS and how your body determines whether you have PCOS

Listen Later

Welcome back to another MINI PCOS POD! If you haven’t listened to one of our mini podcasts before, they’re essentially a Q&A style podcast. We pass the mic over to you on our Instagram stories and ask you what questions you have about PCOS.

We had so many fabulous questions about everything from supplements to gynaecological health to exercise and beyond. So, this week we’re talking about a few different things: tubal ligation (what it is and what it means for your PCOS), what it means when you’re bleeding constantly for a month, if there are top supplements for PCOS and how you actually get PCOS!

In addition, I touch a bit on birth control methods because I’ve had so many questions about it through email, our Facebook groups, DMs, comments and pretty much every other channel you can think of! I didn’t go into too much detail about it though because the next episode is going to be solely dedicated to all the different methods of birth control and how they could affect your PCOS. It’s becoming a pretty long podcast and I want to do it justice so it very well may be two parts, as you can imagine there is A LOT to cover!

Because I generally cover a lot of different topics and point you to other important resources in these mini podcasts, I think there’ll be something for everyone in this episode. You might hear something you didn’t know you needed to know!

This episode is for you if:

  • You’ve been bleeding a bit every day for a month or so and you’re not sure why
  • You’re confused on how you got PCOS in the first place
  • You want to know which supplements are the most important for your PCOS

Some things we cover in this episode:

  • Informed consent when it comes to birth control methods (I’ll go into this more in next week’s long form podcast!)
  • What’s tubal ligation and how will it affect my PCOS?
  • What does it mean when you’re bleeding a little every day for a month?
  • How your body determines whether or not you have PCOS
  • Supplements for PCOS
  • Why one diet won’t work for everyone’s PCOS
