Gold reached new all-time highs and is expected to continue moving higher due to lower real interest rates and increased investment demand, says Jordan Roy-Byrne. The fundamentals driving this price increase include anticipation of lower real interest rates and the pickup in investment demand. The sentiment for gold is becoming bullish, which is a good sign for a new bull market. The gold miners, represented by ETFs like GDX and GDXJ, are also showing signs of a breakout and potential for further gains. It is important to focus on horizontal lines rather than trend lines when analyzing technical patterns.
Tudor Gold commenced a new exploration drill program at the Treaty Creek project in British Columbia. The company has discovered high-grade gold hits that doesn't fit the model of a porphyry or intrusive-related deposit. These late-stage imprinted events are part of a sub-parallel system running through the entire deposit. Tudor Gold is targeting the Supercell area to outline two to three million ounces of gold. This would be a major pivotal point for the Treaty Creek project and could potentially be a high-grade starter for a mine plan.
Lots of news out today, including latest drill results from Collective Mining, Dolly Varden Silver, Nevada King Gold, Mawson Gold and Q2 Metals. Contango ORE have first production results out from Manh Choh.

Trevor interviews Mike McGlone, a Senior Commodity Strategist at Bloomberg Intelligence, to discuss the current state of the commodity sector within global markets. They cover topics such as the seasonality of volatility, deflationary forces in the commodities complex, the relationship between gold and the Bloomberg commodity index, the trajectory of the US bond yields, the potential for a downward move in the dollar, and the outlook for the stock market. McGlone emphasizes the global deflationary recession and the need for a significant event to spur a meaningful rotation from equities to commodities. The conversation between Mike and Trevor focuses on the current state of the commodities market, with a particular emphasis on crude oil and copper. McGlone highlights the deflationary forces at play in the market, including excess supply and a shift away from China as a major consumer. He suggests that commodities, including copper, are likely to continue on a downward trend unless there is a significant shift in the market. McGlone also discusses the potential impact of a recession and the role of the Federal Reserve in stimulating the market.
